Genshin Impact has officially kicked off the marketing for Flins, the 5-Star Electro Polearm character coming in Version 6.0. Much like Version 5.0, the upcoming Genshin Impact patch will mark the debut of three new characters: Lauma, Aino, and Flins. While Version 6.0 will introduce the region of Nod-Krai, it will also expand on Lunar Reactions by adding Lunar-Bloom via Lauma. By contrast, Flins will provide Lunar-Charged, but won't necessarily require Ineffa to shine.
Flins is the first 5-Star male character in Genshin Impact since Kinich in Version 5.0, and only the second in nearly two years. One of the main criticisms of the Natlan era in Genshin Impact has been a lack of focus on its male cast, something that Nod-Krai seeks to correct. From a gameplay standpoint, Flins is an Electro hypercarry whose damage primarily comes from his Normal Attacks, making him synergize well with characters like Yelan.

Genshin Impact kicks off the drip marketing for Lauma, the 5-Star Dendro Catalyst from Nod-Krai, who is shaping up to be a powerful support character.

From a story standpoint, Flins is a ratnik of Nod-Krai, and a member of the Lightkeepers, who have protected the region from the Wild Hunt and the Abyss for centuries. He is described as eloquent, refined, but a bit reserved about his personal life. His drip marketing was kicked off by HoYoverse a day after Lauma and Aino, implying that fans can expect a playable Flins in Genshin Impact only in the second half of Version 6.0.
The Event Banners for Version 6.0 of Genshin Impact feature Lauma, Nahida, Flins, and Yelan, but apart from Lauma and Flins, the exact order of characters remains unconfirmed. As far as potential teammates go, Flins has decent synergy with Yelan and Lauma, but his best teammate remains Ineffa by far. He also has a decent budget option with Aino, but Aino is expected to feature alongside Lauma in the first half of Version 6.0.
Nahida being featured in Version 6.0 also implies a long-overdue Sumeru Chronicled Banner coming to Genshin Impact, but for the most part, Flins players can ignore it. In terms of what fans can expect from Flins in the future of Nod-Krai, they should keep an eye out for Columbina the most, as she will no doubt further elevate his damage potential. With Nod-Krai opening its doors on September 10, 2025, the debut banner for Flins is expected to launch at the start of October 2025. As such, players will have ample time to stock up on their Primogems during Version 5.8 and Version 6.0.
