Summary
- Version 5.5 of Genshin Impact will reportedly add the rest of the Fontaine Artifact sets to the Strongbox system.
- These include Song of Days Past, Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods, Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy, and Unfinished Reverie.
- Genshin Impact Version 5.5 is expected to be released on March 28, 2025.
According to the latest Genshin Impact leak, Version 5.5 will finally add the rest of the Fontaine Artifact Sets to the Strongbox system. While the Fontaine era is beloved by many Genshin Impact fans, one of its most underrated contributions has been its slate of Artifact Sets. As one of the best Support characters in the entire game, Furina opened up the Marechaussee Hunter set to non-Fontaine hypercarries, allowing them to benefit from the set's bonus. On the other hand, the Golden Troupe gave older characters like Fischl an alternative way to scale up their power.
However, farming for Artifacts in Genshin Impact has always been considered a massive chore. While the developers have attempted to curb some of the grind by offering features like the Sanctifying Elixir or the Strongbox, the path to decking out a Genshin Impact character with their preferred Artifacts is a long and arduous one. While the Marechaussee Hunter and the Golden Troupe were added to the Strongbox in Natlan, there were still three important sets missing from the system.
Genshin Impact Players Want Changes to Current Banner System
Genshin Impact players want changes to HoYoverse's Limited Character Banner that would allow re-runs to occur more frequently.
Thankfully, it seems that Version 5.5 will fix this issue, as FireflyNews reveals that the following Artifact Sets will be added to the Strongbox: Song of Days Past, Nighttime Whispers in the Echoing Woods, Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy, and Unfinished Reverie. Navia mains in Genshin Impact will no doubt be happy to hear the news, as many of them have ceaselessly farmed Waterfall Wen since Version 4.3. This change will no doubt free up many players from their farming duties, allowing them to spend their Resin in Genshin Impact on the new Artifact Domain.

While Song of Days Past is significantly less popular than the other three sets, this change will no doubt be welcomed by the Genshin Impact community. The upcoming Artifact Sets in Genshin Impact seem to be themed around two characters: Varesa and Skirk. The Artifact Set intended for Varesa will provide significant bonuses to Plunging Attacks, while the one intended for Skirk seems to be locked to characters without Elemental Energy.
It should be noted that the developers teased a change to the Sanctifying Elixir in Genshin Impact, and that Version 5.5 would guarantee the chosen attributes are upgraded at least twice. Details on this change will likely be discussed during the next developer livestream, which should be on March 14, 2025. As for the update itself, Version 5.5 is expected to come out on March 28, 2025.
