Athame Artis is Durin's best-in-slot weapon in Genshin Impact. That's not really surprising, as it's his signature weapon. The 5-star sword gives Durin the ability to continuously buff his team, which is something lacking in the other sword options. Since Durin is going to shred enemies' resistance, it only makes sense that he can also buff his team.

That's not all, as Athame Artis additionally increases Durin's Crit DMG and ATK%, helping him deal more off-field DMG.

If Durin is operating on his Dragon of White Flame mode, Freedom-Sworn is a good choice for him, as it provides a team buff, just like his best-in-slot. Freedom-Sworn also has Elemental Mastery as a substat, great if Durin is dealing elemental reaction DMG.

If Durin is operating as a true Sub-DPS with his Dragon of Dark Decay form, he needs as many offensive stats as possible, such as Crit Rate and Crit DMG. Primordial Jade Cutter is a decent choice if you don't have his signature weapon, as it massively increases his Crit Rate.

You can go for Wolf-Fang, which is a battle pass weapon in Genshin Impact. It grants him Crit Rate, which synergizes with the Crit DMG Durin gets from his ascension level up.

Lion's Roar is a decent F2P weapon for Durin in Genshin Impact. When wielding a sword like that, it's better for Durin to mainly operate as a support instead of a Sub-DPS, since a F2P weapon won't give him a comparable DPS to the premium 4-star and 5-star weapons in Genshin Impact.

If Durin is operating to reduce enemies' resistance, it's better to build him with a supportive artifact set like Noblesse Oblige. It will still increase his Elemental Burst DMG, but also increase his team's ATK%.

When playing as a DPS, Durin needs an artifact set that can buff his Elemental Burst DMG. The best set to apply that buff is the Emblem of Severed Fate, as it starts with an extra 25% to his Burst DMG. Then, any addition above the 100% default Energy Recharge will only make Durin more powerful.

The only downside to this artifact is that Durin doesn't need Energy Recharge, so the stat itself is wasted on him and is only meant to increase the Burst DMG buff.

You can replace the Emblem of Severed Fate set with Crimson Witch of Flames. It performs slightly lower than Emblem, but it buffs his Pyro DMG and reactions.

Adamah's Redemption

After casting his Elemental Burst, Durin's effects will vary depending on the form of his Elemental Burst:

Principle of Purity: As the Light Shifts: All other nearby party members gain 20 stacks of Cycle of Enlightenment lasting 20s. When nearby active characters deal Normal Attack, Charged Attack, Plunging Attack, Elemental Skill, or Elemental Burst DMG, 1 stack of Cycle of Enlightenment will be consumed to increase the DMG dealt by 60% of Durin's ATK. Stack counts for characters in the party who have Cycle of Enlightenment are managed individually.

Principle of Darkness: As the Stars Smolder: Durin gains 20 stacks of Cycle of Enlightenment lasting 20s. When Durin deals Elemental Burst DMG, 2 stacks of Cycle of Enlightenment will be consumed to increase the DMG dealt by 150% of Durin's ATK.

When an Elemental Burst is used, Cycle of Enlightenment stacks will be refreshed.

For 20s after Durin uses an Elemental Burst, after nearby party members trigger Vaporize, Melt, Burning, Overloaded, Pyro Swirl, or Pyro Crystallize reactions, or deal Pyro DMG or Dendro DMG to an opponent affected by Burning, all nearby party members gain a 50% increase to their Pyro DMG and to the corresponding elemental DMG involved in the reaction for 6s.
