Dust of Enlightenment in Genshin Impact is an item that can be used to reroll an Artifact's sub-stat distribution. The item does not change the sub-stats, but only the number of upgrades each sub-stat gets. Therefore, it's only available on a fully-leveled 5-star Artifact.

Before rerolling, players must choose two stats to prioritize. Upon reshaping, it's guaranteed to get at least two upgrades on the selected stats. For example, here's what a reroll may look like:

You can choose whether you want to keep the original or reshaped stat distributions.

Dust of Enlightenment can still be used even on Artifacts made using Sanctifying Elixir in Genshin Impact.

Hallowed Exegesis In Genshin Impact

Each Dust of Enlightenment consumed will grant a Hallowed Exegesis point. Using one Dust of Enlightenment will grant one point, using two will give two points, and so on. After reaching six Hallowed Exegesis points, you'll unlock Advanced Reshape. Here, it's guaranteed to get at least three upgrades on the selected stats.

Once you trigger Advanced Reshape twice, the next six Hallowed Exegesis points will unlock Decreed Reshape, where it's guaranteed to get at least four upgrades on the selected stats.

This means if you're incredibly unlucky, you're guaranteed to have a top-tier Artifact after using 18 Dust of Enlightenment.

How To Use Dust of Enlightenment In Genshin Impact

To use Dust of Enlightenment in Genshin Impact, simply head to any character's Artifact interface, choose the Artifact you want to reroll, then press Reshape in the bottom right corner of the screen. Next, choose two sub-stats to prioritize, then press the Reshape button again to get the result.

Reshaping Flower and Feather costs one Dust of Enlightenment, while Timepiece, Goblet, and Headpiece require two.

How To Get Dust of Enlightenment In Genshin Impact

To get Dust of Enlightenment in Genshin Impact, players can play the Stygian Onslaught challenge, which will give three Dust of Enlightenment every version. Travelers can also buy the Battle Pass to get one from Gnostic Hymn, and an extra one from Gnostic Chorus.

Players who logged in in version 5.7 can find two Dust of Enlightenment for free in their mailboxes.
