Ineffa is a playable Electro character in Genshin Impact. The star of her mechanics is enhancing the Electro-charged reaction into a Lunar-charged reaction in Genshin Impact. The enhanced Elemental Reaction has different rules and mechanics from Electro-charged. So, it can be a bit complicated to understand Ineffa’s gameplay and kit in Genshin Impact.
Lunar-Charged Damage Calculation & Reaction Guide In Genshin Impact
Lunar-Charged is an Electro-Charged reaction that can crit in Genshin Impact; here's how the Lunar-Charged mechanic works and its damage calculation.
4 Giving Her Elemental Mastery
As a character that helps trigger Lunar-charged, it may look appealing to build Ineffa on Elemental Mastery, since that’s the only stat Lunar-charged scales with, other than Crit. A character’s ATK, HP, or DEF will not matter when a Lunar-charged reaction occurs. However, Ineffa is an exception as ATK is better than Elemental Mastery for her. Here's why:
- Ineffa offers her team some sustainability by shielding them based on her ATK%.
- She buffs Lunar-charged reaction by up to 14% when she reaches 2000 ATK.
- Ineffa increases her team’s Elemental Mastery based on her ATK%. If she has 2000 ATK, she can increase her team’s Elemental Mastery by 120.
If all that isn’t enough reason to build Ineffa on ATK%, her first-Ascension (A1) passive deals Lunar-charged DMG with a unique calculation that scales with her ATK.
3 Teaming Her With Only Electro And Hydro Characters
On paper, it sounds useful to keep triggering Lunar-charged over and over again, given that the reaction takes into consideration the entire team’s participation. However, the main sum comes from the top two damage dealers, while the bottom two will only contribute around 8% of their supposed DMG.
There are better characters that can do so much more and deal much more DMG without having to be Hydro or Electro characters. For example, characters like Xilonen or Kazuha can greatly buff the team’s DMG or shred enemies’ resistance to Electro, which will further increase the DMG of the Lunar-charged reaction. Similarly, having Nahida in the team not only greatly boosts the team's Elemental Mastery but also unlocks the possibility of creating Blooms and triggering them into Hyperblooms while Ineffa and the other Hydro characters are shredding enemies with her Lunar-charged reactions. These characters and many others can add so much to the team, rather than a mere 8% participation.
2 Playing Her As The Main DPS
Building a support like Ineffa with so much Crit value and seeing her deliver on the field can attract some players to play her as an on-field character. While she delivers in that role, many DPS units in Genshin Impact can take the field and do a much better job since that’s their dedicated role.
Skirk Build Guide In Genshin Impact
Skirk is a Cryo-Sword character in Genshin Impact who works around Normal Attack and large Burst DMG.
Ineffa is a shielder with a superb off-field Electro application and DMG. She can keep participating in every Lunar-charged reaction and keep her team buffed while barely spending any field time. It’s better to keep her off-field, where she excels, and pair her with a good main DPS character that can carry their own weight in combat.
1 Expecting Too Much Of Her Lunar-Charged Reactions
Some players might get Ineffa because they want to try the enhanced version of Electro-charged. However, they may get disappointed when they don’t see much difference between Lunar-charged and Electro-charged. In fact, Lunar-charged is only slightly better, even if it sounds too good on paper.
Ineffa is an excellent character that has tons of utility she can offer for her team, such as shielding them and increasing their Elemental Mastery. She also deals a decent amount of DMG as a support unit. Not to mention, there are no characters that work with Lunar-charged characters yet. When there is, the Elemental reaction may be at an entirely different level than Electro-charged.
