Genshin Impact Tier List Character Update

Genshin Impact 6.3 Changes - Luna lV

Columbina Best Teams In Genshin Impact

Columbina is here, and she further unlocks the power of Lunar reactions in Genshin Impact. Having the ability to enable all the Lunar reactions and buff them in one kit makes Columbina one of the most important characters when building a team that revolves around these elemental reactions. Furthermore, she elevates many characters to be more consistent with their on and off-field performance.

Because of her high Elemental Mastery buff alongside her Anemo Swirls that trigger the effect of Viridescent Venerer, Sucrose is seeing a lot of gameplay with the Lunar reaction teams. For that, she's moving up in the ranks to S-tier Rank 2.

Noelle also moves up to B-Tier because of the Lunar-Crystallize reaction Columbina enables. Noelle's ability to spam Geo DMG while spinning during her Elemental Burst makes her a strong Moondrifts generator and a reliable main DPS in her team.

Yaoyao gains a lot of value now that she can fit into many Lunar Bloom teams. She can also be used in Lunar-Charged teams to trigger frequent Lunar Bloom reactions, enabling Hyperbloom and Quicken. She's now an A-tier Rank 1 character.

Genshin Impact 6.2 Changes - Luna III

Durin Team Composition Guide In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact 6.2 update brings big changes to the game's roster as it buffs seven classic characters on top of adding two new characters: Durin and Jahoda.

Durin is a versatile character who can operate in almost every team in Genshin Impact, making him a universal unit. It's been a while since Genshin had a character this useful to so many teams in the meta.

Is Durin Worth Pulling In Genshin Impact
Is Durin Worth Pulling In Genshin Impact?

Durin's versatility makes him an appealing character to pull for in Genshin Impact, but is he worth it?

It's expected to have a character like Jahoda drop from time to time. The 4-star unit doesn't really have anything going her way besides increasing the team's Moonsign's level by 1 and being an Anemo character who can use the Viridescent Venerer set.

Venti's Hexerei buff to his Elemental Burst and Normal attacks turns him into a reliable on-field driver. It's going to be interesting to see what the community will cook for Venti's teams in Genshin Impact. Venti moves up to the S-tier Rank 3. Like Venti, Mona also turns into a strong driver who can buff her entire team while she's on the field.

Razor's Hexerei buff increases his DMG and makes him a reliable Electro enabler. Razor moves up to the A-tier Rank 1. Klee's Hexerei buff increases her DMG and fixes some of her problems without compromising her role as a main DPS. However, she still suffers from the same inconsistencies that lowered her rank in the first place. Still, Klee moves up to the A-tier Rank 2.

Albedo's Hexerei buff in Genshin Impact improves his DMG while allowing him to buff his team, especially the Hexerei units. He's now on S-tier Rank 3. As for Fischl, she was already broken before the Hexerei buff. Now, she can buff her team's ATK% and Elemental Mastery, which is the more reason to put her in the S-tier Rank 2. Finally, although Sucrose's buff is underwhelming, she's still one of the best 4-star supports in the game.

Genshin Impact 6.1 Changes - Luna II

Nefer Team Composition Guide In Genshin Impact

Just like Flins and Ineffa synergy, where both characters work with Lunar-charged reactions, but still need each other, Nefer is a perfect main DPS for Lauma in Genshin Impact. However, unlike Flins, Nefer really needs Lauma in her team, or she loses a major amount of her DPS. She's still great without Lauma, but not a top-tier DPS in Genshin Impact.

Genshin Impact 6.0 Changes - Luna I

Genshin Impact version Luna I adds two new 5-star characters to the roster, Flins and Lauma. Both characters' Lunar reactions need Hydro, giving an insane value to all the Hydro units in Genshin Impact. This is where Aino comes in handy with her constant Hydro enabling ability. She's a 4-star character who operates as a useful off-field Hydro enabler while buffing her team's Lunar reactions from her C6.

Additionally, since Lunar Bloom works perfectly with Nilou's teams, her value increases in the meta. She's getting a slight upgrade from S-Tier Rank 3 to S-Tier Rank 2.

Lauma operates as a support who can greatly buff the DPS of Bloom teams, such as Nilou Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon teams in Genshin Impact. She allows her team to trigger Lunar Bloom, which is a Dendro core that can Crit, alongside other buffs. On top of that, Lauma is a decent Sub-DPS who can deal strong off-field DMG, making her a solid choice in the new meta.

Flins also brings the Lunar reaction in Genshin Impact. When he's in a team, just like Ineffa, Electro-charged turns into Lunar-charged, which can also Crit. However, unlike Ineffa, Flins operates as a main DPS, carrying the team's DMG, taking advantage of all the Lunar-charged reactions happening around him.

Genshin Impact 5.8 Changes

ineffa best weapons in genshin impact

Ineffa brings a new Elemental reaction by enhancing Electro-charged into Lunar-charged. It’s an Elemental reaction that can Crit and has a mechanic on its own. She can even trigger Lunar-charged alone, scaling with her ATK%.

Lunar-Charged Damage Calculation & Reaction Guide In Genshin Impact

Lunar-Charged is an Electro-Charged reaction that can crit in Genshin Impact; here's how the Lunar-Charged mechanic works and its damage calculation.

In terms of the Lunar-charged reaction, early tests only showed slight improvement over Electro-charged. For now, Ineffa will sit in S-Tier Rank 2 as she delivers a top-tier performance for her roles until further tests or until more characters can work with her Lunar-charged reaction.

Genshin Impact 5.7 Changes

genshin impact 5.7 changes

Genshin Impact version 5.7 introduces two new characters, Skirk and Dahlia. Skirk is an amazing 5-star Main and Sub-DPS, while Dahlia is a 4-star shielder support.

Skirk can work as a Main DPS through her Normal attacks, and her DPS is comparable to the best DPS in Genshin Impact. Additionally, she can also operate as a Sub-DPS through her Elemental Burst gameplay and still dish out some of the best DMG in the game. She’s doing amazing in every Genshin Impact endgame content, especially when she’s teaming with Escoffier and Furina.

skirk build guide in genshin impact
Skirk Build Guide In Genshin Impact

Skirk is a Cryo-Sword character in Genshin Impact who works around Normal Attack and large Burst DMG.

Dahlia, on the other hand, is not really an impressive character. He mostly works as a Skirk F2P support to increase her ATK SPD and provide slight team sustainability with his shields. However, as a Hydro character that can trigger the Hydro Resonance and hold Noblesse Oblige, Dahlia will sit at A-Tier Rank 2 for now.

Since Skirk exclusively functions in Freeze teams, she increases the value of all Hydro and Cryo characters in Genshin Impact. Characters like Xingqiu, Shenhe, Ayato, Ganyu, Kokomi, Charlotte, and Layla all have a higher ranking now because of the increased value of freeze teams. With characters like Skirk and Escoffier, Hydro and Cryo characters that will join them will always perform better.

Previous Changes

genshin impact all playable archons ranked

Mavuika is one of the best characters in Genshin Impact. Whether she’s operating as a main DPS or as a Sub-DPS, she’s extremely useful for the team. Not to mention, in her best team, Mavuika can hit some of the highest DMG in Genshin Impact.

Neuvillette is still doing amazing, and the new updates are not holding him down at all. Instead, the new Cryo and Hydro characters are further solidifying his placement as a top-tier DPS in Genshin Impact.

While Nahida doesn’t get a lot of play time in the Spiral Abyss because of the new changes, she’s still the go-to character when building a Dendro team in Genshin Impact. That should keep her warming the S-Tier spot.

Furina has everything a character needs to succeed as a support in Genshin Impact. She’s still the top pick for any team in the game, which is enough to get her an S-Tier ranking.

Yelan is a good Hydro Enabler who can dish out some of the best off-field DPS in Genshin Impact. She’s definitely a great Sub-DPS and deserves her S-Tier ranking.

Xiangling is the best Pyro Enabler in Genshin Impact, on top of having one of the best off-field DMG in the game. Even after Mavuika, Xiangling is still more consistent and deals more off-field DMG, which is why she scores an S-Tier in this list.

As a support, Xilonen is incredibly effective when she joins her best teams. She’s one of Mavuika’s best supports, in addition to being the best support for a lot of other teams.

Citlali is doing great in the meta because of her Cryo element, alongside being one of Mavuika’s best pairs in Genshin Impact.

kazuha team compositions guide in genshin impact
Kazuha Team Composition Guide In Genshin Impact

There are a lot of great characters in Genshin Impact that work well with Kazuha. Here's a look at some of the best.

Just like Xilonen, Kazuha is also an excellent Anemo support that can add a lot of DMG to Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, and Electro main DPS. Ever since his release, Kazuha has been one of the most consistent characters in Genshin Impact’s Meta.

Escoffier is limited to operating in Freeze teams in Genshin Impact. Her off-field DMG is some of the best, but the star of her kit is her Cryo and Hydro debuff. So, with many decent Hydro and Cryo DPS units that can take full advantage of this debuff, Escoffier's placement in the S-Tier is safe.

Arlecchino is a great main DPS in Genshin Impact. However, she deals less DMG compared to powerhouses like Mavuika and Neuvillette, so she’ll move to S-Tier Rank 2. She’s still one of the best, though.

Kinich and Emilie have gained a lot of attention and usage rate ever since the game started having more Burning content. They both deliver when it comes to burning teams in Genshin Impact.

Wriothesley and Ayaka were already in the top tier, but with the surge of Freeze teams, they both rank in the S-Tier Rank 2, slightly under Skirk’s ranking.

Kuki Shinobu is amazing at triggering Hyperbloom reactions in Genshin Impact. She’s the star of Hyperbloom teams and can operate as a reliable Sub-DPS.

Speaking of reliable, when it comes to reliable Hydro Enablers, Xingqiu is one of the top choices. Ever since the game’s release, Xingqiu has been an S-Tier Hydro Sub-DPS, and the updates are not slowing him down.

best weapons for shenhe in genshin impact
Best Weapons For Shenhe In Genshin Impact

Shenhe best weapon in Genshin Impact should support her ability to increase the Cryo DMG of her teammates.

Shenhe is an excellent Cryo buffer in Genshin Impact. She’s one of the best pairs for Skirk and Ayaka, and definitely deserves a place in the S-Tier Rank 2 spot.

Baizhu is a good shielder and healer who fits perfectly in Furina’s teams in Genshin Impact. He also works in most Dendro teams and operates at an S-Tier level.

Varesa and Mualani are excellent Natlan Main DPS units in Genshin Impact. In their best teams, Mualani and Varesa have enough DMG for an S-Tier Rank 2 spot.

Chasca is also a powerful Main DPS from Natlan, but has more dependence on buffers like Furina and Bennett, and may take them from their best teams.

Like Bennett, Iansan is an amazing 4-star buffer in Genshin Impact. Iansan has a slightly higher buff than Bennett, but suffers from some limitations, like being able to mostly support main DPS units who keep moving. For that, Bennett sits comfortably in the S-Tier Rank 1, while Iansan settles for the Rank 2 spot.

Dedicated shielders like Zhongli and Layla are also in the S-Tier ranking. However, Zhongli ranked in the second S-Tier because of his strong shield’s debuff, which effortlessly works with all elements, even Physical. On the other hand, Layla’s Cryo element has secured her a place in the S-Tier Rank 3 spot. That’s also the case with Charlotte, who’s getting a lot of attention because of her off-field Cryo application and healing, which makes her a decent choice with Furina.

Although characters like Ganyu and Ayato started as Main DPS characters in the game, they now mostly operate as Sub-DPS units because of their Elemental Bursts that spawn a wide Cryo and Hydro AoE area. They’re still decent Main DPS units, but not as valuable as their Sub-DPS role.

Chevreuse has some impressive buffs and debuffs, but with harsh limitations. She’s a must-have when creating an Overloaded team in Genshin Impact, but she can’t do anything beyond that role.

Same as Nilou, she only works in Bloom teams in Genshin Impact. Even though her Bountiful Cores deal a ton of DMG, her not being able to function with anything beyond Hydro and Dendro is enough to affect her ranking in this Genshin tier list.

kokomi best constellations in genshin impact-1
Kokomi Build Guide In Genshin Impact

Genshin Impact's Kokomi is a wonderful character to add to any party, provided she's paired with these great character builds.

Kokomi works well in Nilou Bloom teams, where she’s a reliable Hydro Enabler and a healer. She also works well in Freeze teams, and can deal a good amount of DMG in short windows through her Elemental Burst. That should be enough to secure her spot in the S-Tier Rank 3.

Chiori and Fischl are both excellent off-field DPS units. Unfortunately, their elements hold them back from being higher in the list. Still, an S-Tier ranking is fair for them, especially Fischl, who’s been consistent since the game’s release.

Raiden Shogun is one of the best Sub-DPS units in Genshin Impact. Both her Elemental Skill and Burst excel in fulfilling her roles. Ever since Meta started shifting towards Freeze and Melt teams in Genshin Impact, Raiden Shogun has had a lower usage rate. She’s still a top pick when it comes to Electro characters, so an S-Tier Rank 3 spot is safe for her, for now.

Hu Tao is still one of the best Pyro characters to use, but she lacks the massive AoE of Mavuika and the consistency of Arlecchino.
