A young detective for the Tenryou Commission, Shikanoin Heizou is the first male character in Genshin Impact to use a catalyst as his weapon. Alongside a catalyst, he also wields an Anemo Vision, allowing him to harness the power of wind against his enemies.

Those looking to add Heizou to their team and draw out his max potential will need to level him up, ascend him, and upgrade his talents. Here's everything needed to do those three things, as well as where to find the necessary materials.

Gemstones - Where to Find Vayuda Turquoise

All Anemo characters use Vayuda Turquoise in their ascension. This elemental gem, like the others, can be earned by completing daily commissions, created in the Parametric Transformer, or purchased from souvenir shops. However, the bulk of any elemental gems will come from defeating bosses that drop them. The following bosses can drop Vayuda Turquoise:

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Treasure Hoarder Insignias

Treasure Hoarders plague almost everywhere with their presence. However, they can be found in large numbers around ruins in Liyue, as well as in the Chasm, both above and below ground.

Higher-level Treasure Hoarders can drop better rewards:

  • Any level: Treasure Hoarder Insignia
  • Level 40+: Silver Raven Insignia
  • Level 60+: Golden Raven Insignia

Boss Drop - How to Get Runic Fang

To get Heizou's unique boss drop, players will need to head into the underground portion of the Chasm. Here, they can find the Ruin Serpent boss, which must defeated to obtain Runic Fangs. Heizou is just one of a few characters that use this boss drop.

For help beating this boss, check out our guide to defeating the Ruin Serpent in Genshin Impact.

Local Specialty - Where to Find Onikabuto

Until Heizou's debut, Itto was the only character that used Onikabuto in their ascension. Now, Heizou joins him.

These purple beetles are only found in Inazuma, specifically near high concentrations of Electro. This means that they can typically be found on Seirai Island and Yashiori Island, near the Sacred Sakura, and around the Mikage Furnace.

Unfortunately, no shops sell Onikabuto, so players will need to find them all in the wild.

The Transience books are one of the Inazuma series, meaning they can be obtained from the Violet Court. This particular series is available on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. This trounce domain, which is officially titled End of the Oneiric Euthymia, is unlocked after completing Act II of the Raiden Shogun's story quest.

Trounce Materials - The Meaning of Aeons

The relived fight against the Shogun is one of the toughest trounce domains. Players hoping to upgrade Heizou's talents will need to attempt it, as he needs one of the drops from this challenge — the Meaning of Aeons.
