Hilichurls are the primitive creatures that occupy the lands of Teyvat in Genshin Impact. They are known to form tribes with Mitachurls, Lawachurls, Samachurls, and Hilichurl Shooters. They use Hilichurlian to communicate among themselves and are mostly incapable of using another form of communication except for violence.
Defeating them will result in acquiring Damaged, Stained, and 
Ominous Masks in Genshin Impact. These drops are essential for leveling up characters such as 
Eula, 
Jean, Traveler, and 
Xingqiu. In addition, the rarity of the drop depends on Hilichurls' level; level 60+ Hilichurls are more likely to drop Ominous Masks than the lower-level ones. If players are running out of these Mask drops, here are some notable Hilichurl locations in Genshin Impact.
Hilichurl Locations In Mondstadt
Starfell Valley
There are 88 Hilichurls in Starfell Valley; 49 are grouped in various areas, while the rest are scattered around.
Galesong Hill
The Hilichurls in Galesong Hill are at the following locations in Genshin Impact:
- 27 in Dadaupa Gorge
- 10 are scattered around the Windrise Statue of the Seven
- Two are west of the Temple of the Lion Domain, and there's one southwest of it.
Windwail Highland
36 Hilichurls are occupying the Windwail Highland, which can be easily located. These primitive creatures can be found along players' journey from Wolvendom to the area lying between the Forsaken Rift and the Valley of Remembrance Domain in Genshin Impact.
Brightcrown Mountains
Take the road west of the Andrius Weekly Boss straight to Stormterror's Lair. As travelers start the journey, they will encounter eight Hilichurls, and as they explore the lair, they will find 19 more. Next, head to the eastern edges of Brightcrown Canyon to locate 12 Hilichurls.
Dragonspine
In spite of Dragonspine's 50 Hilichurls, players can easily find the majority of them since they mostly inhabit its borders.
Hilichurl Locations In Liyue
Qiongji Estuary
Qiongji Estuary is the ideal location to farm Ominous Masks in Genshin Impact, since Hilichurls can be located all over its land. Guili Plains has 19 Hilichurls, Yaoguang Shoal has 11, and Mingyun Village has 16 of them.
Bishui Plain
Bishui Plain has the following Hilichurls:
- Eight southwest of Wuwang Hill and one north of it
- 12 west of Ridge Watch Domain in Genshin Impact
- Five in Dihua Marsh
- Four in Sal Terrae
Minlin
While exploring the Minlin area, travelers will come across around 50 Hilichurls, which are mostly accompanied by Mitachurls or Lawachurls. Due to their difficult nature and heavy attacks, equipping Genshin Impact characters like Zhongli is highly recommended before facing these enemies.
Hilichurl Locations In Inazuma
Seirai Island
All Seirai Island Hilichurl locations in Genshin Impact are on the coasts, where they can be easily spotted. 22 of them are located on the southern islands, though they are well protected by Mitachurls.
Tsurumi Island
There are 53 Hilichurls inhabiting Tsurumi Island in Genshin Impact. The primitive creatures can be found by themselves scavenging for some treasures, or in a camp alongside their tribe.

Hypostyle Desert
Take the northeastern road that leads from The Mausoleum of King Deshret pyramid to Khaj- Nisut to locate 25 Hilichurls in the Hypostyle Desert.
Desert Of Hadramaveth
Exploring the edges of the Desert Of Hadramaveth is the best way to farm Ominous Masks since more than 50 Hilichurls are occupying them.
Gavireh Lajavard
Gavireh Lajavard has a total of 52 Hilichurls in Genshin Impact. Most of them are located near a teleportation Waypoint, including the underground ones (marked in yellow).
Hilichurl Locations In Enkanomiya
Enkanomiya is packed with Hilichurls, as it has more than 90 Hilichurls inhabiting its lands in Genshin Impact. More than half of them can be found in The Narrows and Dainichi Mikoshi, while the rest are scattered throughout the other islands.
