Genshin Impact’s much awaited region of Natlan hit servers in Version 5.0 and with it brought players the tumultous nation of war. The Pyro region has much to offer in terms of materials and exploration, with its looming canyons and luscious springs hiding a variety of helpful goodies.
Like every region in Genshin Impact, the area also comes with its resident world bosses. The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King is one of them and can be found in a cave north of the Scions of Canopy tribe. Beating it, however, can prove to be quite challenging.

How To Find The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King Boss
The “Mountain King,” also known as Kongamato, is a little tricky to find since it’s located in a cave underground. There is a teleport waypoint there, and the only way to reach that is by teleporting to the above-ground waypoint north of the Ancient Watchtower Weapon Materials Domain.
Then, turn right, and you’ll see a small opening leading below. You’ll need to jump down into it and follow the navigation towards the underground waypoint. The opening is covered in mist, so it’s very easy to miss it. Once you have unlocked the teleportation point, you can just fly across to the boss.
How To Beat The Gluttonous Yumkasaur Mountain King Boss
One thing players should keep in mind before fighting the boss is that you need to carry a pyro character. It will greatly benefit you when the Mountain King releases the Flamegranates. Unfortunately, no other elements work, and once the Mountain King ingests them, he will deal an explosive attack.
Players should also note that, once the Flamegranate seeds have been applied with pyro, they will burst, so you need to keep your distance immediately after.

Watch Out For The Stomping Attack
If you get close to the Mountain King, his main attack lies in a heavy foot stomp that can easily shave off your character's HP. It’s a good idea to dodge it as best you can or carry a decent shielder like Zhongli or Thoma in your party.
Keep An Eye Out For The Tummy Turn
The Mountain King has a special tell for a ‘tornado spin’ attack that it does, where it bangs on its stomach two times and then lies flat on it. You’ll need to keep an eye out and get out of the way the minute it does this. This attack can easily sweep you up and deal massive dendro damage to your party.
Kongamato isn’t that difficult to defeat, as players only need to keep their distance and dodge during his long-range attacks. They’re pretty easy to spot, and though they deal a lot of damage, the boss is still pretty easy to take down. Natlan characters such as Kachina and Kinich use his ascension materials.
