Though similar in name, both resources can be used for different items in the game shop, but they usually cannot be used for the same thing. The main difference between the two is that starglitter has a schedule it follows every quarterly month for the tradable characters in Genshin Impact. How To Get Stardust & Starglitter In Genshin Impact

Stardust and Starglitter are obtained through Wishes in Genshin Impact. Stardust is obtained for every 3-star weapon you receive through wishing. It is more special than Stardust and is only used for the monthly rotation of characters. It can be obtained if a player gets a 4 or 5-star weapon or a character they already own. These are much harder to get early on in the game, and the amount received depends on the quality of the item and how often the player has received duplicates of it.

Genshin Impact players should be aware that Paimon’s Bargain (shop) resets on the 1st of every month.

Starglitter Exchange In Genshin Impact

Starglitter is the rarest of resources, as it’s the hardest to obtain. Players can not only save to exchange characters but also other permanent items like Intertwined Fates, Acquaint Fates, materials, and more.

The rotation of characters and weapons in the Starglitter Exchange shop is fixed. Characters cost 34 Starglitter, and weapons cost 24 Starglitter. Additionally, players are not allowed to exchange Starglitter for characters they already own.

Stardust Exchange In Genshin Impact

The materials found here are the same ones found in the Starglitter Exchange shop. The only difference is that it costs a little more Stardust to exchange. Additionally, the permanent items are also more easily accessible as you unlock them from Adventure Rank 10 onwards.
