Genshin Impact has revealed more details about its new skin for the popular Pyro polearm user, Hu Tao. The recently held Special Program event for Genshin Impact update 5.3 confirmed that Hu Tao will be one of the characters receiving a new outfit.

After previously releasing a short skin trailer, Genshin Impact has now provided additional information about Hu Tao's new outfit, known as Cherries Snow-Laden. The new skin features a much lighter palette compared to Hu Tao's original darker outfit, which reflects her association with the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. Although many fans expected the skin to become available in the second part of the update, the announcement confirmed that players would be able to obtain it once Genshin Impact Version 5.3 launches. The only way to acquire this skin is through the in-game shop. Fortunately, it will be offered at a discounted price of 1,350 Genesis Crystals during a special promotion running from the start of Version 5.3 until February 10. After this period, the price will revert to the regular 1,680 Genesis Crystals.

However, unlike Hu Tao's outfit, which will become available immediately with Version 5.3, Xiangling's skin is expected to arrive alongside the Lantern Rite Festival, featured in the second part of the update. To obtain Xiangling's new outfit, players will likely need to complete a few simple quests.
Players should act quickly to obtain Xiangling's skin, as, if HoYoverse follows its usual pattern, the outfit will only be free during Genshin Impact's Lantern Rite Festival.
