Jean is the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius and a five-star Anemo character in Genshin Impact. She uses a sword in battle, and her talents make her one of the best healers around. She's also permanently available, unlike many other characters that are time-limited.

Those who have pulled Jean won't do wrong by adding her to their team. To level Jean up, players will need quite a few items. However, by maximizing her potential, she can ensure that your team members rarely ever need to eat food to heal.

Leveling Materials

Jean Ascension Items

The journey to level 90 requires a ton of gemstones, items, and Mora. As an Anemo character, Jean will make use of Vayuda Turquoise, Hilichurl masks, Anemo Hypostasis drops, and Mondstadt's local specialty, Dandelion Seeds.

Gemstones - Where to Find Vayuda Turquoise

Every type of gemstone can be earned in many of the same ways: finishing daily commissions, from events, from souvenir shops, and more. However, each can drop from certain bosses or Trounce domains.

These bosses and challenges will drop Vayuda Turquoise gems:

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Hilichurl Masks

Every variant of Hilichurl, including Mitachurls, Samachurls, and Lawachurls, will drop masks when defeated. The higher the level of Hilichurl, the better its drops can be.

Any level: Damaged Mask
Level 40+: Stained Mask
Level 60+: Ominous Mask

These enemies are found almost anywhere, so it shouldn't be too hard to find many of them to farm these materials.

Boss Drop - How to Get Hurricane Seeds

Mondstadt's Stormbearer Mountains are home to a strange elemental being called the Anemo Hypostasis. It's one of a few Hypostasis bosses around Teyvat, this one dropping the boss material needed to ascend some Anemo characters, including Jean.

When defeated, the Anemo Hypostasis can drop Hurricane Seeds. These are butterfly-like items that Jean needs to ascend.

Local Specialty - Where to Find Dandelion Seeds

With a title like "Dandelion Knight," it only makes sense that Jean's ascension requires Dandelion Seeds, a local specialty found throughout Mondstadt.

These seeds can be dropped by striking a dandelion plant with an Anemo attack. Dandelions are found all over Mondstadt, with quite a few of them growing right out front of the Mondstadt city gates.

Players looking for more Dandelions than the wild grasslands of Mondstadt have to offer can head to Ritou in Inazuma. Here, a merchant named Karpillia sells Dandelion Seeds for 60,000 Mora each. She carries five at a time and restocks them every three days.

Talent Books - Resistance

The talent book series that Jean utilizes for upgrading her talents is the Resistance series. These books can be obtained by completing the Forsaken Rift domain on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Trounce Materials

As two prominent protectors of Mondstadt, Jean and Dvalin are connected by fate and history. She'll use a material gained by defeating Dvalin to upgrade her talents — Dvalin's Plume. The legendary dragon can be challenged once a week through the Confront Stormterror Trounce domain.
