The Kamisato Clan has two of the best units in Genshin Impact lore and gameplay. Both Ayaka and Ayato strive in the game’s content to deliver some strong Cryo and Hydro addition to their teams. Unlike Ayaka, who can only play as a Main or Sub-DPS, Ayato is more versatile in his role.

Kamisato Ayato can be a great AoE DPS, a sub-DPS, an enabler, and support. Most of Ayato's Constellation focuses on increasing his DPS, except for his C4 which also increases his supportive value.

Is Getting Ayato Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?

Getting Ayato Constellations in Genshin Impact can help grow his DPS and Support potential, but it’s not necessary for his growth. Ayato can perform perfectly at C0 in both areas. His C4 and C6 hold the best passives Ayato can get if players chose to go for it, yet, not good enough compared to the cost of these Constellations.

C1 - Kyouka Fuushi

Effect: Shunsuiken DMG is increased by 40% against opponents with 50% HP or less.
Importance: High

Increasing Ayato’s Elemental Skill DMG through his C1 can be helpful. However, it only applies to enemies with low HP, which can be hard to pull off against most bosses. Nevertheless, 40% extra DMG against enemies with less than 50% HP is a decent buff that helps Ayato finish Genshin Impact’s content faster since most of it is time-based.

C2 - World Source

Effect: Namisen's maximum stack count is increased to 5. When Kamisato Ayato has at least 3 Namisen stacks, his Max HP is increased by 50%.
Importance: Medium

Increasing Ayato’s HP through his C2 is not really necessary. Some of Ayato’s DMG scale with his HP, but it's not the main feature of his kit.

C4 - Endless Flow

Effect: After using Kamisato Art: Suiyuu, all nearby party members will have 15% increased Normal Attack SPD for 15s.
Importance: High

Normal Attack SPD is a rare buff in Genshin Impact. Having Ayato’s C4 increase his and his team’s Attack SPD can be effective in many scenarios. Especially, in Spiral Abyss where timing is the most crucial aspect of this game mode. This Constellation enhances both his performance as a DPS and support.

C6 - Boundless Origin

Effect: After using Kamisato Art: Kyouka, Ayato's next Shunsuiken attack will create 2 extra Shunsuiken strikes when they hit opponents, each one dealing 450% of Ayato's ATK as DMG. Both these Shunsuiken attacks will not be affected by Namisen.
Importance: High

C6 Ayato deals some great DMG to his enemies. Considering how costly it is to get to his sixth Constellation, the effect isn’t comparable to other C6 characters like Xiao, for example. Still, it should give him a little boost in DMG for people that want to collect every Ayato Constellation in Genshin Impact.
