Genshin Impact is once again partnering up with popular fast-food chain KFC for a new collaboration, featuring Melusine toys exclusive to Chinese locations. The massively popular RPG from HoYoverse has featured a plethora of collaborations throughout the nearly four years since the game's launch in late 2020. Genshin Impact has teamed up with everything from fast-food franchises like Pizza Hut to games like Horizon: Zero Dawn, making for a plethora of unique combinations. Now, HoYoverse is returning to an old favorite for its next collaboration event.
Of the many collaborations Genshin Impact has done with different brands, KFC has been one of the HoYoverse RPG's most notable partners. Past collaborations through the Chinese branch of the fast-food juggernaut have seen a plethora of promotional visuals, as well as unique in-game food items added to Genshin Impact. While overseas fans did not receive the same KFC event, HoYoverse would add the special food dishes to Genshin Impact through the in-game mail system. However, the newest KFC collaboration features a reward that might pose a challenge for global fans to acquire.

Genshin Impact recently revealed the popular RPG's newest collaboration with KFC, revealing an exclusive line of toys available with the promotion. The event will see KFC customers able to pick up one of four exclusive toys featuring the Fontaine region's Melusines, with each one boasting different outfits and food items. The collaboration is currently expected to be exclusive to China, with global KFC restaurants not likely to receive the adorable toys. Genshin Impact's newest collaboration with KFC is set to begin on August 3rd at all Chinese KFC locations.
Genshin Impact Collabing with KFC Again in China
Genshin Impact's newest collab with KFC is far from the first time China has received exclusive Genshin Impact promotions. HoYoverse revealed a collaboration with Korean coffee chain Mega Coffee, featuring exclusive Genshin Impact cosmetics only available in Korea and China. Past collaborations with brands like the previously mentioned Pizza Hut have even given fans the opportunity to pick up exclusive Genshin Impact merch, like mousepads and plates.
While many worldwide fans will be disappointed by the lack of a global KFC collab, Genshin Impact has offered plenty of in-game excitement for players. HoYoverse is gearing up for the debut of the RPG's newest region later this month, with Natlan coming as the sixth of Teyvat's seven nations. Version 5.0 will bring three new characters to Genshin Impact as well, with Mualani, Kachina, and Kinich expected to appear with the new region's launch update. The missing collaboration may upset some fans, but HoYoverse will hope that the wealth of new content will be enough to keep its legions of players satisfied.
