Hailing from Chenyu Vale, Lan Yan is an artisan and playable character in Genshin Impact. She uses a catalyst and her Anemo Vision in battle, alongside her Feathermoon Rings, which makes her somewhat unique.

Anemo characters need Vayuda Turquoise to ascend. It comes in four levels, like all ascension gems: Slivers, Fragments, Chunks, and full Gemstones. It can be found in a variety of ways, but most of it will come from defeating certain bosses:

Trounce Materials - Eroded Sunfire
Like for her boss material, Lan Yan needs to make a trip to Natlan for her trounce material. This material is the Eroded Sunfire, dropped only by the Stone Stele Records trounce domain. This trounce domain is unlocked through the Natlan Archon Quest, specifically Chapter V: Act V — Incandescent Ode to Resurrection.
Players can skip the unlock requirements with Quick Challenge mode once they reach Adventure Rank 40, though this locks them to trying out the trounce fight in single-player only.
