Genshin Impact has officially unveiled Lauma, the 5-Star Dendro Catalyst set to debut in Version 6.0. With Version 5.8 closing out the Natlan era of Genshin Impact, HoYoverse has fully kicked off the marketing for the next region of Teyvat. Beta testing for Version 6.0 is underway, and official teasers for its characters are about to begin. Much like Version 5.0, this upcoming patch will feature three newcomers to the Genshin Impact roster: Lauma, Aino, and Flins.
What makes Lauma stand out, apart from being the tallest female character in Genshin Impact, is that she's also bringing a new Elemental Reaction to the table: Lunar-Bloom. Unlike regular Bloom, Lunar-Bloom can only be triggered by Lauma's Elemental Skill, and it effectively functions as a Dendro version of Navia. The more regular Blooms triggered in a team featuring Lauma, the more stacks she accumulates. The more stacks Lauma accumulates, the greater her damage when using the Elemental Skill.
Genshin Impact Leaks Event Banners for Version 6.0
Recent information from the Genshin Impact beta reveals which 5-Star characters will accompany Lauma and Flins on their debut banners in Version 6.0.

While players have already been acquainted with Lauma in the beta for Version 6.0 and in the two recent Genshin Impact teasers, her drip marketing has revealed something rather unexpected: she will be in the first half of Version 6.0 as opposed to its second half. As the first character revealed for Version 6.0, Lauma will likely share a banner with Aino, and thus become playable on September 10, 2025. From a gameplay standpoint, she is expected to be a very strong support character, enabling older 5-Stars such as Nilou to shine once more.
As for her story, Lauma is a Frostmoon Scion and a daughter of Hyperborea, the fallen civilization that rests between Nod-Krai and Snezhnaya. Her faction in Genshin Impact opposes the Fatui in Nod-Krai, and has even organized a rebellion against the Tsaritsa's plans. Given that the Frostmoon Scions are deeply connected to the Moon Goddess, they will no doubt play a major role in the Song of the Welkin Moon.
Players who want to obtain Lauma in Version 6.0 should make use of the extra Primogems in Version 5.8 of Genshin Impact. Those who do manage to obtain her should keep an eye out for Nefer, an upcoming Dendro character from Nod-Krai. It's highly likely that the two characters will have powerful synergy, though it may be a while until Nefer comes out. Lauma will be available on the Event Banners until the end of September 2025, which should hopefully give Genshin Impact fans enough time to formulate their pulling plans.
