Now, one Genshin Impact leak suggests that fans will see Cloud Retainer in its human form.
Reddit user applesauce0101 uploaded an image on the social media platform showing a Genshin Impact leak that potentially reveals valuable information. The original poster came across this information on a website called NGA, which says Cloud Retainer will be seen in its human form for the first time in Genshin Impact. The user has translated the contents of the original source, which says that Cloud Retainer's human form could be seen in a cutscene in the event called Lantern Rite, an annual event based on the Chinese New Year that has strong links to the Liyue region of Genshin Impact.
Furthermore, the leak sheds more light on what to expect from the human form of Cloud Retainer in Genshin Impact. For instance, the leak says Cloud Retainer will be a tall female figure with glasses and cryo imagery. The Genshin Impact character will be portrayed as a Tsundere with a calm, sacred, and innocent demeanor. Tsundere is a Japanese term for characters that initially seem harsh and cold before revealing their warm and comforting nature. Moreover, Cloud Retainer's trousers and back will be similar to Shenhe, and her hair will resemble a ponytail.
However, the leak also says that Cloud Retainer's human form will not be a playable character in Genshin Impact, which many fans don't like. Cloud Retainer is an Adeptus and one of the oldest allies of Morax, who has also built the famous Dwelling in the Clouds above Qingyun Peak. Genshin Impact fans will encounter Cloud Retainer in the first chapter of Archon quests.
