A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed the appearance of a mysterious character named Ineffa, who is rumored to arrive in the next update. It seems Genshin Impact will continue its pattern of releasing a new five-star character in every update since the arrival of the Natlan region.
The ongoing Genshin Impact Version 5.7 has already introduced the long-awaited five-star Cryo user, Skirk, who is expected to become one of the best DPS units in the game. Skirk won’t be the only roster addition in this update, as HoYoverse has also announced the arrival of a new four-star unit, Mondstadt’s Hydro support, Dahlia.

An interesting Genshin Impact chart reveals the revenue difference between the two currently featured five-star characters, Raiden Shogun and Kinich.
Even though Genshin Impact Version 5.7 launched just recently, new leaks have already revealed a lot of information about the content arriving in update 5.8, including character additions. Over the last couple of weeks, rumors have hinted that a mysterious character would be joining the roster with the release of update 5.8. Her name is Ineffa, though some leakers also refer to her as Ineva. A recent post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has finally revealed Ineffa's in-game model. According to the leak, Ineffa will feature a mechanical and futuristic design that blends elegance with advanced technology. The character has blue hair, a bodysuit with metal parts, and many fans say she gives off superhero vibes. In her leaked splash art, Ineffa can be seen holding a large arm cannon, which may be her signature weapon.
Genshin Impact: Ineffa Model, Element, and Weapon Revealed
This weapon has led many players to believe that she could be a Catalyst user. Ineffa’s Vision can be seen on the back of her neck, confirming that she will be a new Electro user in Genshin Impact. Overall, fan reactions are divided when it comes to Ineffa’s appearance. While some complain that she looks too generic for a Genshin Impact character, others say they love her mecha-inspired aesthetic. Some have even compared her appearance to Aigis from the Persona franchise.
Some comments claim that players initially planned to spend all of their Primogems on Skirk and her signature weapon, but are now reconsidering because the new character seems promising. As for her rarity, multiple leakers have confirmed that she will be a five-star character. Regarding her playstyle, previous rumors suggest that Ineffa’s kit will revolve around Genshin Impact's Electro-Charged elemental reaction, which is triggered by combining Electro and Hydro.
At the moment, there is no official information about Ineffa’s release date. However, assuming Genshin Impact continues to feature new characters in the first phase of updates, players can expect Ineffa to arrive around the end of July. That said, it's worth noting that around the same time last year, Genshin Impact introduced the character Emilie during the second banner cycle.
