A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed important information about upcoming character releases. Genshin Impact's intensive update schedule allows HoYoverse to keep the content fresh by consistently adding new storylines, playable units, regions, and more.
The most recent Genshin Impact Version 5.3 has already introduced two new characters, Mavuika and Citlali, both featured on the same double banner. The second part of the update will include a new four-star character named Lan Yan, scheduled to arrive as part of the Lantern Rite Festival.
Genshin Impact Leaks Reveal Powerful New Free Weapon for Update 5.4
A new Genshin Impact leak reveals a free four-star polearm that should be available for free during the next Weapon Event in Version 5.4.
Genshin Impact's most recent Special Program event revealed most of the content for the ongoing Version 5.3. However, at the end of the livestream, HoYoverse showcased an intriguing image displaying silhouettes of unknown characters who have yet to appear. One of the presenters confirmed that players will learn more about these characters in the next six months, but he did not clarify whether they will join the playable roster simultaneously. Luckily, a credible Genshin Impact leaker known as DK2 has revealed that, from left to right, these characters will be released in the following updates: 5.7, 5.4, 5.5, and 5.6. The leaker also mentioned that all four characters will have a five-star rarity.
Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Upcoming Five-star Releases
It is now almost certain that the second character from the left will join the roster in Genshin Impact Version 5.4. The silhouette of this character matches the design of Mizuki, a five-star character currently featured in the 5.4 beta phase. The absence of additional information about any other five-star unit in the current beta suggests Mizuki will likely be the only new five-star character in this update, adding credibility to this leak.
Mizuki will be a new five-star Anemo catalyst user hailing from Genshin Impact's Inazuma region, which could indicate that the main storyline might return to the fan-favorite Electro nation. This would not be surprising, as HoYoverse tends to send the Traveler to previously released regions four to five updates after a new nation arrives.
Previous Genshin Impact leaks revealed that Mizuki will be a new support character whose kit revolves around having as much Elemental Mastery as possible. Gameplay footage from the beta also suggests Mizuki has decent synergy with the recently released Pyro Archon, Mavuika. Regarding her exact release date, assuming she will be featured in the first banner phase of 5.4, players can expect Mizuki's release around mid-February.
