A recent leak from Genshin Impact is hinting at a brand-new five-star character set to launch during the Version 6.3 update, coming as part of next year's Lantern Rite. The launch of the HoYoverse RPG's newest playable region has brought a wide variety of characters to the roster, both adding new cast members and teasing future characters. Genshin Impact introduced a trio of new characters with Lauma, Aino, and Flins joining the game, while also showcasing future characters like Nefer, Jahoda, and Columbina. Now, another member of an upcoming patch is being teased.
Genshin Impact has given players lots to be excited about with its playable cast throughout the debut of the Nod-Krai region. HoYoverse gifted players with a free Constellation for one of the game's five-star characters, allowing fans to upgrade one of their favorite units as a free reward. Genshin Impact also raised the level cap for characters for the first time since the game's launch, with fans now able to obtain Masterless Stella Fortuna and raise characters up to Level 100. A new leak is now hinting at a fan-favorite event coming within the next few patches.
Genshin Impact Leak Teases Major Buff for Level 100 Characters
Recent leaks from Genshin Impact are teasing a sizable buff coming in Version 6.0, centered on characters reaching the newly-raised level cap.
A recent post shared by Genshin Impact leaker Douma Leaks is hinting at a new character coming in the Version 6.3 update. According to the leak, the "Luna 4" patch will introduce another Adeptus from the Liyue region to the game as a five-star unit, said to be a "White Horse Adeptus." The Adeptus character will reportedly arrive to Genshin Impact as part of next year's annual Lantern Rite event, celebrating the Chinese New Year. The leak also suggests that the White Horse Adeptus character's introduction to the game will be connected to Zhongli.
Genshin Impact Teases New Lantern Rite Character
Genshin Impact's new Adeptus character comes as plenty of exciting characters have been teased to release throughout the Nod-Krai cycle. Genshin Impact is heavily rumored to be adding two new Fatui Harbingers to the game's roster during Nod-Krai, with both Columbina and Sandrone already appearing within Version 6.0's Archon Quest. The game is also set to officially introduce Knights of Favonius Grand Master Varka, who has been rumored to appear within the game since its launch. Version 6.3 is currently expected to release in mid-January 2026.
Genshin Impact fans should have lots to look forward to within the RPG beyond its plethora of teased characters. HoYoverse officially revealed Genshin Impact's long-rumored "user-generated content" mode alongside the Version 6.0 Special Program, teasing the "Miliastra Wonderland" as a new game mode allowing players to submit their own Genshin Impact mini-games. Genshin Impact also brought back the popular "Traveler's Tales" event in Version 6.3, making the character-focused side stories a permanent facet of the game. Genshin Impact looks to have plenty of momentum going as HoYoverse kicks off its newest regional cycle.
