A new Genshin Impact leak has unveiled a free 5-Star character selector for Version 6.0. The highly anticipated update will be Genshin Impact's most ambitious one yet, with the release of Nod-Krai and several fan-favorite characters like Varka, Alice, and Nicole Reeyn.
Earlier in July, Genshin Impact launched its 5.8 update, which features its yearly summer event set in Natlan. The patch also added the 5-Star unit Ineffa to the playable roster. Players were able to learn more about Ineffa's background through the latest Archon Quest, a story that set the stage for Genshin Impact's next chapter, Nod-Krai. While the release of Version 6.0 and the new region are still weeks away, a new leak hints at an exciting reward for players.

Reliable source Kazusa Leaks has shared a screenshot of a limited character selector for Genshin Impact Version 6.0. The interface shows an illustration of all 5-Star characters from the Standard Banner. This would mean that players will be able to choose a copy of their preferred unit out of the eight currently available in the next update. The reveal comes after earlier leaks teased that Genshin Impact would give away a 4-Star Catalyst as part of its next flagship event as well. If the leaks turn out to be true, it seems Version 6.0 could be quite rewarding for players.
Genshin Impact Version 6.0 Leak Reveals Free 5-Star Standard Banner Character
While the leak does not give further details, the free 5-Star Standard Banner character selector will potentially be tied to Genshin Impact's fifth anniversary on September 28. In 2024, HoYoverse announced that every future anniversary event would grant fans a free 5-Star. Unlike the previous edition, though, Version 6.0 will give players more options to choose from with the addition of Yumemizuki Mizuki, a formidable Anemo Catalyst that works well in Swirl teams. Other great Genshin Impact Standard Banner units include Mona, Jean, and Tighnari. On the other hand, the selector is also a good opportunity to collect constellations instead of claiming a new character. Fans also expect the anniversary event to gift free Primogems and wishes, but players will have to wait for an official announcement from the developers.
Through its latest Nod-Krai trailer, Genshin Impact revealed 11 upcoming characters and teased their connections with each other in the next Archon Quest. Recent leaks suggest that the Genshin Impact Version 6.0 banners will debut Flins and Lauma, an Eletro Polearm and Dendro Catalyst, respectively. Nahida and Yelan are also rumored to rerun during the patch. Version 6.0 is set to launch around mid-September.
