Fontaine is released in version 4.0, and it’s the fifth region available in Genshin Impact. It’s already known that the twin Lyney and Lynette will take a major part in the Archon Quest since the two are shown in Teyvat Chapter Storyline Preview: Travail, so it wasn’t a surprise when the Land of Justice debut with the twin on the first banner.
In addition to them, their sibling, Freminet, also becomes available in Genshin Impact 4.0. If players have been longing for the magician, here’s how they can make a proper Lyney build in Genshin Impact.

Lyney Best Artifact In Genshin Impact
Since Lyney mostly depends on his Prop Arrow to deal damage, it’s super important to maximize the damage of his Charged attack by leveling the Basic attack Talent and granting the Celebrated Magician artifacts sets that further help in that regard.
One of the best artifacts to grant Lyney is the 4-Marechaussee Hunter since it gives Lyney 15% extra Charged attack damage and up to 36% extra Crit Rate. That amount of Crit in Marechaussee’s passive is easily obtainable by Lyney since he loses HP when firing his Prop Arrow and gains a portion back when using his Elemental Skill. Not to mention, players can drag Bennett into Lyney’s team, which creates an insane synergy.
For alternatives, there are a couple of artifacts that work well on Lyney like 4-Lavawalker and 4-Vermillion Hereafter. Lavawalker is very compatible with Lyney since it gives him 35% extra Pyro damage as long as he hits enemies affected by Pyro, which works perfectly with his A4 passive that grants him up to 100% damage against Pyro-affected enemies, while Vermillion Hereafter is more complex, but if Lyney can Burst on every rotation, he can easily benefit from Vermillion’s effect. Just keep in mind that stacking too much ATK may not be wise when the team includes a prominent buffer like Bennett.
For players that aren’t able to complete a full set of the previously mentioned artifact sets, building Lyney with 2-Crimson Witch of Flames + 2-Marechaussee Hunter is a solid choice since they add a decent 30% extra damage to his Charged attack.
When building Lyney’s stats in Genshin Impact, it’s important to build his artifacts’ main stats with ATK on Timepiece, Pyro DMG Bonus on Goblet, and Crit Rate/DMG on Circlet. As for the artifacts’ Sub-stats, players can focus on increasing Lyney’s Crit value and ATK to further increase his damage.
Lyney Best Weapon In Genshin Impact
If players build Lyney with the Marechaussee Hunter set, then it’s essential to give him a Bow rich with Crit DMG. Weapons like The First Great Magic, Thundering Pulse, and Aqua Simulacra are great for that playstyle since alongside the Marechaussee set they will build a massive Crit value for Lyney. However, as a Pyro user in Genshin Impact, there’s no doubt that the best Bow for Lyney is The First Great Magic since the weapon’s passive complements his kit by adding more ATK% based on the number of Pyro characters in his team.
For less expensive options, Amos’ Bow is a decent 5-star weapon that players can obtain via Standard Banner. Amos grants Lyney a great buff to his Charged attacks, which includes his Prop Arrow and Pyrotechnic Strike damage. But, when it comes to pure F2P choices, then Song of Stillness takes the cake as one of the best forgeable weapons for Lyney in Genshin Impact. Finally, Prototype Crescent is also a decent pick as an F2P weapon for Lyney in Genshin Impact.
