The combination between Pyro and Bow is not unfamiliar to Genshin Impact players. The literal first playable character Travelers meet, Amber, also has this combo for her gameplay. Afterward, the Firework Queen of Inazuma, Yoimiya, also wields the Bow and has Pyro Vision.

Despite having the same combo, though, Lyney isn’t similar to Yoimiya as a DPS. Instead of the Normal Attack spamming playstyle, players who use Lyney need to accurately aim their shot to hit the enemies. Therefore, Lyney weapons in Genshin Impact can include bows that enhance Charged Attacks and encourage hitting the enemy’s weak point.

7 Blackcliff Warbow

Primary Stat: 565 Base ATK
Secondary Stat: 36.8% CRIT DMG
R5 Effect: After defeating an opponent, ATK is increased by 24% for 30s. This effect has a maximum of 3 stacks, and the duration of each stack is independent of the others.

Since Lyney can build Crit Rate from his Ascension stat and Marechaussee Hunter’s 4-set passive, it’s safe to build as much Crit DMG as possible on him. While there are better 4-star Bows for Lyney, Blackcliff Warbow still can offer a decent amount of Crit DMG he needs with a mediocre ATK buff from the weapon’s passive. It’s not the best, but gets Lyney’s damage going, which is effective when there are no other options.

6 Prototype Crescent

Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
Secondary Stat: 41.3% ATK
R5 Effect: Charged Attack hits on weak points increase Movement SPD by 10% and ATK by 72% for 10s.

At R5, Prototype Crescent grants Lyney a huge amount of ATK if players manage to hit an enemy’s weak spot.

This task is not simple at all, especially in hard content like the Spiral Abyss, where enemies are super aggressive and can keep moving and jumping around.

5 Song of Stillness

Primary Stat: 510 Base ATK
Secondary Stat: 41.3% ATK
R5 Effect: After the wielder is healed, they will deal 32% more DMG for 8s. This can be triggered even when the character is not on the field.

Song of Stillness almost offers the same amount of extra damage as Prototype Crescent, especially when fully refined. However, the only difference is it’s much easier to benefit from Song of Stillness’s passive effect since the only requirement is to have the wielding character healed. As an F2P option, Song of Stillness is a very solid 4-star weapon for Lyney in Genshin Impact.

4 Aqua Simulacra

Primary Stat: 542 Base ATK
Secondary Stat: 88.2% CRIT DMG
Effect: HP is increased by 16%. When there are opponents nearby, the DMG dealt by the wielder of this weapon is increased by 20%. This will take effect whether the character is on-field or not.

Now that players entered the 5-star weapons realm, it’s much easier to find weapons that grant Lyney a massive amount of Crit DMG, and Aqua is one of them. Although Aqua Simulacra has a low Base ATK stat, it makes it up with the amount of damage Aqua can unleash in the hands of Lyney.

3 Thundering Pulse

Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK
Secondary Stat: 66.2% CRIT DMG
Effect: Increases ATK by 20% and grants the might of the Thunder Emblem. At stack levels 1/2/3, the Thunder Emblem increases Normal Attack DMG by 12/24/40%. The character will obtain 1 stack of Thunder Emblem in each of the following scenarios: Normal Attack deals DMG (stack lasts 5s), casting Elemental Skill (stack lasts 10s); Energy is less than 100% (stack disappears when Energy is full). Each stack's duration is calculated independently.

For Thundering Pulse, it’s hard for Lyney to benefit from most of its passive since it directly increases the wielder’s Normal attack. However, even though it’s not optimal, Thundering Pulse is still one of the best weapons for Lyney in Genshin Impact.

2 Amos’ Bow

Primary Stat: 608 Base ATK
Secondary Stat: 49.6% ATK
Effect: Increases Normal Attack and Charged Attack DMG by 12%. After a Normal or Charged Attack is fired, DMG dealt increases by a further 8% every 0.1 seconds the arrow is in the air for up to 5 times.

Although Amos’ Bow doesn’t have any Crit DMG to offer, it does, however, have a potential for great damage because of its high ATK sub-stat and the extra damage on both Lyney’s Normal and Charged attacks.

Just keep in mind that since Bennett is one of the best supports for Lyney, Amos’ Bow may face a diminishing return for all the ATK stat it provides.

1 The First Great Magic

Effect: DMG dealt by Charged Attacks increased by 16%. For every party member with the same Elemental Type as the wielder (including the wielder themselves), gain 1 Gimmick stack. For every party member with a different Elemental Type from the wielder, gain 1 Theatrics stack. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Gimmick stacks, ATK will be increased by 16%/32%/48%. When the wielder has 1/2/3 or more Theatrics stacks, Movement SPD will be increased by 4%/7%/10%.

Lyney’s team should mostly consist of Pyro characters, so The First Great Magic is catered for that part of his kit. Lyney gains a nice amount of ATK for every Pyro teammate, but non-Pyro is not entirely useless since he still gets a movement SPD bonus in return.
