Summary
- Genshin Impact's pre-registration event offers free Primogems, increasing in-game currency easily.
- The event calendar reveals the benefits of new festival event and free weapons with passive abilities.
- Update 5.4 introduces a new Anemo character and rerun banners featuring Fontaine characters.
Genshin Impact's new event is probably one of the easiest ways for players to increase the number of Primogems in their inventory. Primogems are widely considered the most important currency in Genshin Impact, as they are used to pull on all the game's banners.
Even though purchasing pulls is the game's main source of revenue, Genshin Impact also allows players to obtain sizable amounts of Primogems for free during each update. While some methods of acquiring these items are permanent, such as completing Daily Commissions or clearing the Spiral Abyss domain, others involve participating in limited-time events.

Genshin Impact's recent announcement features an event calendar showcasing some of the upcoming events. By using the provided link and accessing the game's official website, players can pre-register for the upcoming Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival, the flagship event for Genshin Impact Version 5.4. All players need to do is log into their account on the site and press the Pre-Register button to receive 30 Primogems. Many fans have pointed out that this is one of the strangest events, claiming that the registration essentially does nothing except provide free rewards. The main reason behind such an unusual announcement is likely that Genshin Impact's content has slowed down recently due to the Lunar New Year holidays.
Genshin Impact's New Pre-Registration Event Grants Free Primogems
According to the calendar, the Enchanted Tales of the Mikawa Festival will run from February 14 to March 3 and will likely offer more free Primogems. The calendar also indicates that completing this event will grant a new polearm called Tamayuratei no Ohanashi. Previous Genshin Impact announcements have confirmed that Travelers will be able to obtain this new weapon along with its ascension materials for free during the event.
The weapon's passive effect increases ATK and Movement SPD when an Elemental Skill is used, making it a flexible choice for many different support characters in Genshin Impact. The first phase of the upcoming update will also introduce a new five-star Anemo character, Yumizuki Mizuki, who has been confirmed to arrive alongside the Fontaine healer Sigewinne.
Genshin Impact's recent Special Program confirmed that Mizuki will be the only new addition to the roster, meaning that, just like the current banner, the second phase of update 5.4 will feature two rerun banners. This double banner will include two Fontaine characters: the Hydro Archon Furina and Wriothesley. This suggests that Genshin Impact will continue its pattern of featuring one Archon in every update following the release of a new major region.
