A new Genshin Impact chart has revealed the most used characters in the current Spiral Abyss for Version 5.3. This Genshin Impact domain is widely considered the hardest piece of content in the game, and players usually have to deploy their most powerful team compositions to clear all the levels in a timely manner and collect valuable rewards.
The Spiral Abyss consists of 12 levels, better known as Floors, each of which contains multiple chambers with different enemies. Each enemy has a specific type of damage they are weak to, meaning that Travelers often need to adapt their team to take advantage of these weaknesses.

A Reddit user named kronastra has shared an interesting chart showing the most popular playable units for the current Spiral Abyss. HoYoverse usually features an enemy lineup that is weak to their new characters, and this rotation follows a similar pattern. Many fans have pointed out that this is one of the most interesting Spiral Abyss usage reports because the difference between the first and third characters is only 1.2%. At the top of the list, with an 88.7% usage rate, sits the recently added Pyro Archon Mavuika, who arrived in the first part of Genshin Impact Version 5.3. Since her introduction, Mavuika has proven to be one of the best Pyro characters in all of Genshin Impact, thanks to a versatile kit that allows her to fit into many different team compositions. However, while she shines in different roles, Mavuika's go-to role for most players is still the main DPS position.
Genshin Impact: Most Used Spiral Abyss Characters in 5.3
The second character on the list is the fan-favorite Geo support Xilonen, who has great synergy with Mavuika and many other Natlan characters in Genshin Impact. Many players consider Xilonen to be by far the best Geo character to arrive in Genshin Impact in recent years. Her supportive abilities as a Geo user can only be matched by Liyue's Archon Zhongli, who provides the most powerful shield in the game.
Citlali is another five-star character who was released in the first part of Version 5.3, and she claimed the third spot on the list. Unlike Genshin Impact's Pyro Archon, who is known for her flexibility, Citlali is more of a niche character best used in a support role. Citlali's kit makes her one of the best supports for team compositions that rely on triggering Melt, which is one of the strongest elemental reactions in the game.
Unsurprisingly, the highest-ranked four-star character is Genshin Impact's Pyro user Bennett. Despite being one of the oldest four-stars in the game, Bennett remains the best support choice for any DPS character who can benefit from the damage buff provided by his Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage.
