The Muse's Mother Orthant’s puzzle in Genshin Impact can be found inside the Morte Region Mysterious Ruins, and it is part of the Search in the Algae Sea World Quest. To reach the puzzle, teleport to Morte Region Statue of the Seven and ascend the western staircase.
To unlock the closed gate, players have to borrow the energy of the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus to push the Operable Mechanism: Feather Valve. However, Travelers have to pass through before the Feather Valve automatically revolves back to its original position and closes the gate.
Once the Hilichurls have been defeated and players have reached the second locked gate location, they need to rotate the first Feather Valve fully, then rotate the second Operable Mechanism quickly to pass before the gates close again.
Follow the quest marker in Genshin Impact then choose the “Shadows” option to answer Caterpillar correctly, then head inside to locate the Energy Flow Mechanism. To guide the water-colored energy flow into the large machine in the middle, players need to do several actions.

- Go toward the northwestern room and release the energy from the Energy Flow mechanic in Genshin Impact.
- Interact with the energy of the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus southeast of the large machine.
- Go toward the northeastern side and hit the crystal to release the Spherical Beam.
- Use the Octopus energy on the Feather Valve to lift the Spherical Beam Relay all the way up.
- Hit the crystal again.
- Wait for the Spherical Beam to align with the Eliphas Beam to unlock the lift’s door.
- Take the lift down.
- Hit the Feather Valve with the Xenochromatic Ball Octopus energy.
- Run toward the unlocked door.
- Release the Energy Flow.
- Go back up with the lift after the Energy Flow reaches it.
- Release the lift-pillar energy after arriving.
- Check the large machine in the middle.
After completing all the required steps, travelers will find nothing on top of the mechanism and will continue toward the next Orthant’s puzzle location in Genshin Impact. However, a Luxurious Chest alongside 10 Primogems will spawn after solving the puzzle successfully.
