Nahida was the fourth Dendro character added to Genshin Impact if the Traveler is included in that count. Like the Traveler, she doesn't carry a Vision. This is because she doesn't need one — Nahida is the vessel for the Dendro Archon, Lesser Lord Kusanali. In this form, she wields the power of Dendro alongside a catalyst, making her the first Dendro catalyst user in the game.

As an Archon, Nahida is extremely competent as a unit in the game. Anyone hoping to make the best of her potential should ascend her and upgrade her talents. Doing all of that will require some Mora and the items listed in this guide.

Leveling Materials

Archon or otherwise, every character in Genshin Impact requires the same amount of EXP to hit level 90, outlined in the table here:

Nahida Ascension Materials

Even though she doesn't have a Dendro Vision, Nahida still uses the Dendro elemental gem, Nagadus Emerald, to ascend. In addition to these gems, she'll need the following materials in this table:

Gemstones - Where to Find Nagadus Emerald

This green gem can be found in many of the same places as the other elemental gems — daily commissions, the Parametric Transformer, and so on. However, much of it will come from defeating bosses. These bosses can drop Nagadus Emerald when defeated:

Enemy Drop - Where to Find Fungi Materials

Those little sentient mushrooms that populate Sumeru (and some sections of the Chasm) drop the materials Nahida needs for ascension. At higher levels, these fungi can drop different materials:

Any level: Fungal Spores
Level 40 and up: Luminescent Pollen
Level 60 and up: Crystalline Cyst Dust

If these enemies are exposed to Pyro or Electro, their material drops will change, and won't be usable for Nahida's ascension. Be sure to prevent these elements from making contact with these enemies if you're planning to ascend Nahida. Hydro, Anemo, Cryo, Geo, and Dendro are all usable against fungi without changing their drops, though watch out for environmental hazards that afflict enemies with Pyro or Electro, including other monsters/enemies.

Boss Drop - How to Get Quelled Creeper

The Dendro Hypostasis was the final Hypostasis added, with one representing each element. This one was introduced alongside Nahida herself.

When defeated, the Dendro Hypostasis will grant rewards to Travelers who pay the Original Resin cost. One of these rewards is a boss drop unique to the Dendro Hypostasis, called a Quelled Creeper. This item is among those that make up the Nahida ascension materials.

Local Specialty - Where to Find Kalpalata Lotus

A few different plants dot the Sumeru landscape, classified as regional specialties. These are used to ascend Sumeru characters, and Nahida is no different.

The regional specialty used in Nahida's ascension is the Kalpalata Lotus. These small flowers grow on the sides of cliff faces and can be quite a pain to gather. They grow around the forested portions of Sumeru, with some clusters spawning west of Sumeru City, south of Vimara Village, and just west of the Chasm.

In a pinch, they can be purchased, as well. Aramani, an Aranara found in the dream version of Vanarana, will sell five of them for 1,000 Mora each. This lovable creature restocks every three days.

Talent Books - Ingenuity

There are three talent book series in Sumeru, based on the three virtues of the Akademiya. The series Nahida uses is the Ingenuity books.

This particular series of talent books can be obtained by clearing the Steeple of Ignorance domain on Tuesday, Friday, or Sunday.

Trounce Materials - Puppet Strings

It's easy to see why many might take joy from defeating Scaramouche's deity form, Shouki no Kami, the Prodigal, if they like Nahida. This form was built to essentially replace her as a god by the evil members of the Akademiya.

Therefore, it will likely be pretty satisfying to have to repeatedly defeat this boss in order to power up Nahida. Her talents require the Puppet Strings drop, which comes from defeating this weekly boss.
