A Genshin Impact chart has revealed more details about the overall banner revenue of the recent Limited Character Banner that featured Xianyun and Nahida. The game's limited banners allow players to pull for certain characters for a short period, approximately 3 weeks.
Every Genshin Impact update features two different banner cycles which include a different lineup of playable units that can be acquired for the duration of the banner. It's become standard that each banner cycle features two five-star and three four-star characters. As the roster keeps expanding with every new update, fans have been asking HoYoverse to start implementing triple banners instead of the current double banners.
A chart that can be found on the popular Genshin Impact stats website named GenshinLab has revealed the overall sales for the recently featured double banner that had Xianyun and Nahida as the five-star banner characters. According to the chart, the banner has accumulated over $25 million, making it the 13th most popular banner in the game's history. It should be noted that the data in the chart only represents iOS devices in Genshin Impact's Chinese community. Many fans seem surprised about how well the banner has done in terms of sales, considering that the game's revenue has taken a significant hit overall since the launch of HoYoverse's second most popular title in Honkai: Star Rail. This means that it's unlikely that the current sales record held by Yelan and Hu Tao will be broken anytime soon.
How Powerful are Xianyun and Gaming?
The main reason behind the banner's success is the fact that the character lineup is stacked with powerful characters. Genshin Impact's new five-star Anemo user Xianyun has been one of the most anticipated characters in the community since she was introduced as the Cloud Retainer who watches over the Liyue region.
The character also has one of the most distinct kits in the game and can be placed in almost any team composition in the game thanks to her Anemo Vision. She is best utilized when paired with a powerful Genshin Impact DPS that shares the same element as the polearm user Xiao.
The second five-star character on the banner, Nahida, is widely considered as the best Dendro character in Genshin Impact thanks to a stacked kit that boosts the overall damage potential of Dendro elemental reactions. While five-star units are usually the focal point of each banner, it's safe to say the new four-star Pyro user Gaming stole the show for many players thanks to his unique design and ability to deal tons of damage despite his lower rarity.
