Since its release, each major update has introduced a new main region along with its Archon. Genshin Impact's Archons are powerful characters who usually serve as the main protectors of their nation, and the story is shaped around them. Almost every major story arc has also introduced a new Harbinger who typically plays the main villain role.

Many replies in the comment section claim that it will be refreshing to see the Traveler fighting against the Abyss for a change, as the Fatui organization has been the main enemy faction for a while now.
