Genshin Impact has officially unveiled a pair of brand-new weapons coming to the game as part of the Version 5.8 update, including new character Ineffa's signature weapon. As the massively popular RPG from HoYoverse nears the debut of its next playable region, Genshin Impact has given fans plenty to look forward to from Nod-Krai. HoYoverse recently teased several characters set to play a major role in the story of Nod-Krai, including Fatui Harbingers Sandrone and Columbina and the long-rumored Alice among others. Now, Version 5.8 is looking to lead players into the new region with its newest character.
The final update of Genshin Impact's Natlan cycle will introduce players to the first playable character from Nod-Krai. Version 5.8 is set to introduce Ineffa to the playable roster, joining the game as an Electro polearm character. Ineffa is also expected to play a major role in the main event for Version 5.8, whisking Genshin Impact players to the game's first permanent summer event zone. A new update from Genshin Impact is now showing off not only Ineffa's signature weapon, but a new event-exclusive Claymore as well.
Genshin Impact Officially Reveals Ineffa for Version 5.8
Genshin Impact kicks off the drip marketing for Ineffa, the upcoming 5-Star from Version 5.8 who has sparked a lot of interest over her ability kit.
Genshin Impact officially revealed Version 5.8's new weapons late last week through the game's official social media accounts. Fractured Halo will be the game's newest five-star polearm, providing boosts to Crit DMG, ATK%, and the new Lunar-Charged Elemental Reaction. Flame-Forged Insight will similarly benefit characters utilizing Hydro reactions, restoring Energy and boosting Elemental Mastery when Electro-Charged, Lunar-Charged, or Bloom are triggered. Fractured Halo will be available alongside Ineffa through Genshin Impact's gacha system, while Flame-Forged Insight will be a reward for the "Sunspray Summer Resort."
Genshin Impact Reveals Version 5.8 New Weapons
Fractured Halo
- Base ATK: 608
- CRIT DMG: 66.2%
- Purifying Crown: After an Elemental Skill or Burst is used, ATK is increased by 24% for 20s. If the equipping character creates a Shield while this effect is active, they will gain the Electrifying Edict effect for 20s: All nearby party members deal 40% more Lunar-Charged DMG.
Flame-Forged Insight
- Base ATK: 510
- Elemental Mastery: 165
- Mind in Bloom: When Electro-Charged, Lunar-Charged, or Bloom is triggered, restores 12 Elemental Energy and increases Elemental Mastery by 60 for 15 seconds. This effect csn be triggered once every 15s and can be triggered even when the equipping character is off-field.
The pair of new weapons will look to take advantage of Genshin Impact's exciting new Elemental Reaction. Lunar-Charged will be the first new Reaction added to Genshin Impact since the introduction of the Dendro element in Version 3.0. Lunar-Charged only triggers when a character with the "Moonsign Benediction" Talent is in the party, spawning a thundercloud to damage enemies after hitting a Hydro-afflicted enemy with an Electro attack. Genshin Impact's Version 5.8 is scheduled to launch later this week on July 30.
With Version 5.8 launching this week and Ineffa's playable debut, many players have already turned their attention to Nod-Krai. HoYoverse has been slowly dropping teasers for its newest region, hinting at several factions involved with Nod-Krai's story and showing off several starring characters. A previous web event also showed off one of the first major areas in Nod-Krai, introducing Hiisi Island as the home of the new Frostmoon Scions faction. Genshin Impact fans won't have to wait much longer to dive into the next major region coming to the RPG.
