Genshin Impact has revealed the Sunspray Summer Resort in the latest developer livestream, while also showcasing Ineffa, new character outfits for Yelan and Bennett, as well as revealing major information about Nod-Krai. Version 5.8 is shaping up to be an eventful sendoff to the Natlan era of Genshin Impact, as it will take players to the game's first permanent Summer Event zone. On top of the new zone, the Song of the Welkin Moon will kick off in Version 5.8 with a Prelude, introducing the players to Ineffa, the first Genshin Impact character from Nod-Krai.
Speaking of Nod-Krai, the new Genshin Impact region was also revealed during the livestream, giving players a first look at its stunning environment and introducing Lauma, a Dendro character tied to the Frostmoon Scions. Given the popularity of Rimegrass in the Imaginarium Theater, many players have already begun to speculate that Lauma will introduce the Elemental Reaction across all content.
Genshin Impact Leaks 4-Star Banner Characters for Version 5.8
The latest information from the Genshin Impact beta reveals which 4-Star characters will accompany the featured 5-Stars on the Version 5.8 banners.
The 45-minute livestream was hosted by the voices of Chasca, Mualani, and Ineffa in Genshin Impact, as all three characters will join Citlali on the Event Banners in Version 5.8. The first half will feature Citlali and Ineffa, while the second half will have Mualani and Chasca. In addition to the Nod-Krai prelude and Sunspray Summer Resort, players will also be able to aid Yelan in uncovering a money-laundering scheme in Fontaine.

Both Yelan and Bennett will receive a new Genshin Impact skin in Version 5.8, with the latter unlocked for free by progressing through the Flagship Event for Version 5.8. On the other hand, Genshin Impact players will need to purchase Yelan's skin from the in-game store if they want to add it to their collection. Version 5.8 is the first step taken by the developers in wrapping up any lingering plot points in preparation for the Traveler's confrontation with the Tsaritsa. While it will also touch upon the Mare Jivari in a new set of World Quests featuring Enjou and Citlali, the rest of Mare Jivari will feature as a proper map expansion in a future update.
Curiously, Lauma was known among Genshin Impact leakers for a while, but there was never a full consensus on her playable Element. Much like Kirara was initially Geo in her concept art, it seems that Lauma has also found herself embracing the role of a Dendro character in the end. Rumors point towards Lauma being the featured 5-Star of Version 6.0 in its second half, which should hopefully give players enough time to stock up on Primogems in Genshin Impact. Version 5.8 is set to launch on July 30, 2025, while the gates of Nod-Krai will open on September 10, 2025.
