Before the release of Natlan, players used to collect chests normally and enjoy the 
Primogems without any ulterior motives in Genshin Impact. But, when the Nation of War was released in version 5.0, HoYoverse added a feature where you randomly get Obsidian Ring Fragments inside the chests in Natlan, which unlocks a special area in each tribe.
Each tribe has its own Obsidian Ring as well as its own Obsidian Barrier. The People of the Springs tribe, for example, require an Azure Obsidian Ring to unlock its barrier. The three Azure Obsidian Fragments are scattered all around the map and players who wish to remove the Barrier need to keep opening Precious and Luxurious chests until they find all the fragments.

Azure Obsidian Ring & Fragments Locations In Genshin Impact
To get the Azure Obsidian Ring in Genshin Impact, players must combine three Azure Obsidian Fragments from their bag. Simply press "craft" once all three are available, and it'll become an Azure Obsidian Ring.
The tricky part, however, is finding these Azure Obsidian Fragments. The item drops randomly from Precious and Luxurious chests in the tribe's land, so players may end up opening all available chests before they get the three they need. Additionally, the area of the People of the Springs is surrounded by water in all directions, making it a bit tricky to explore. Travelers also need to complete a few side quests to unlock some of the chests.
Precious Chest #1
The Spiritwall Cave’s entrance is hidden behind an enemy camp just north of the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. There's a Precious chest players can obtain the moment they drop into the cave.
Precious Chest #2-3 And Luxurious Chest #1
Finish the puzzle by completing the painting and finding seven Monetoos to receive an Achievement in Genshin Impact as well as two Precious chests and one Luxurious chest.
Precious Chest #4
In the southwestern corner of the cave, players can transform into a Tepetlisaurus and solve a puzzle to unlock a hidden room with a chest. You can solve it by going underground and hitting the glowing circle that appears to spawn a pillar.
Luxurious Chest #2
Progress with the Tale of Dreams Plucked From Fire quest (Tracer No Tracing) to access the upper floating islands. On the small island located southeast is a Luxurious chest.
Luxurious Chest #3
Once the Tale of Dreams Plucked From Fire quest is completed in Genshin Impact, climb the nearby hill and open the chest.
Precious Chest #5
Travel to the Sanctum of Rainbow Spirits Domain and head west to fight a group of enemies, which unlocks a chest.
Precious Chest #6
In the same area, approach the cage to get the Key to Somewhere and then jump to the hanging rope to get another key. Use the two Keys to Somewhere on the locked gate to spawn a Local Legend boss as well as a Precious Chest. The chest can be opened without fighting the boss.
Precious Chest #7
Fast travel to the Ameyalco Waters and defeat the enemies to grab the chest.
Precious Chest #8
Go southeast of the People of the Springs main area to complete a challenge using the Koholasaurus Transformation. Get the highest score to win a Precious chest.
Luxurious Chest #4
Go west from the previous location and solve the puzzle to drain the water in Genshin Impact and access the Luxurious chest. You need to find three Monetoos and guide them back.
Precious Chest #9
Travel east to the to find a guy looking at the sea. Talk to him to start the Stride on Rainbows Split the Waves quest in Genshin Impact. Complete it to earn a chest.
Precious Chest #10
Swim west to a small island to see small children. Speak with them and help them with the bird situation to be rewarded with a Precious chest.
Precious Chest #11
North of the Firethief’s Secret Isle is a small patch of land that has a Koholasaurus challenge (orange portal). Complete it with a high score to get a chest.
Luxurious Chest #5
Travel to the Firethief’s Secret Isle and complete all the challenges on the island to make it appear on the map as well as obtain a Luxurious chest.
Luxurious Chest #6
Just southeast of Teticpac Peak, on the shore, there is a character called Qispi. Speak with him to start a hidden quest where you need to give him rocks to spawn a Luxurious chest. Travelers must visit him for four real-life days and deliver specific rocks to complete his quest. On the fourth day, the character will leave, and you need to defeat an enemy to unlock the chest.

Proceed west to find the final Precious chest surrounded by enemies.
Precious Chest #13-14-15
Make sure to complete the Master Trainer challenges to obtain even more Precious chests. Keep in mind that you must achieve the highest score to win the Precious chests.
