Summary
- Lady Furina has the highest ownership rate in Genshin at 96.5% due to her powerful kit and engaging storyline.
- Following Furina are lower-tier characters mainly found in the Standard Banner with 5-star rates.
- Players hope for old character buffs in Genshin following the example set by Honkai: Star Rail.
An interesting Genshin Impact chart has revealed the ownership rate of the game's five-star characters. Genshin Impact's playable units are divided into two main rarity categories: five-star and four-star characters. Five-star characters are much harder to obtain, as they follow a 90-wish pity system compared to the 10-wish pity for four-star units.
Since the arrival of the Pyro nation, Genshin Impact has followed a pattern of introducing at least one new five-star character per update, with the Fontaine chef Escoffier being the most recent addition. HoYoverse has already confirmed that the next update will feature two more characters: a four-star unit named Dahlia and the mysterious sword user Skirk.
Genshin Impact Leak Reveals the Name of New Permanent Game Mode
A new Genshin Impact leak reveals the name of a long-awaited permanent game mode that should arrive in the upcoming update 5.7.
A chart shared by an X user named hxg_diluc has ranked Genshin Impact’s playable roster by ownership rate. The top spot was taken by the famous Fontaine Archon, Lady Furina, who has a 96.5% ownership rate despite being a limited five-star character. Even though she was released at the start of the Fontaine arc, Furina is still widely regarded as the most powerful Hydro support in Genshin Impact thanks to a stacked kit that fits into almost any team composition. Another reason behind Furina’s popularity is that her Archon Quest is considered by many players to be the best storyline featured in the world of Teyvat so far. Lady Furina was also recently featured on a limited banner, which likely contributed even more to her high ownership numbers.
Genshin Impact: Most Owned Character in Version 5.6
- Furina (96.5%)
- Tighnari (94.4%)
- Jean (93%)
- Mona (93%)
- Keqing (92.1%)
- Kazuha (91.2%)
- Diluc (90.9%)
- Qiqi (90.6%)
- Nahida (89%)
- Xilonen (88%)
The four characters following Furina on the chart are all part of Genshin Impact's Standard Character Banner, which comes as no surprise considering that players receive a five-star unit whenever they lose a 50/50 on a limited banner. These four characters are Tighnari, Jean, Mona, and Keqing. While these characters can be viable in certain team scenarios, they are usually considered lower-tier units.
Players hope that Genshin Impact will follow the example of Honkai: Star Rail, which has buffed some of its older characters to help them find a place in the current meta. Following the Standard Banner characters is Kaedehara Kazuha, who used to be the highest-ranked character before Furina’s recent re-run in Genshin Impact. Similar to the Hydro Archon, Kazuha is a powerful support who fits into many different party types thanks to his flexible Anemo abilities.
The highest-ranked Natlan character on the list is Xilonen, who took the 10th spot with an 88% ownership rate. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise, considering she is likely the best Geo character Genshin Impact has released in recent times. Many players consider Xilonen to be a slightly improved version of Kazuha, which speaks volumes about her potential as a support.
