The best team compositions for Sangonomiya Kokomi in Genshin Impact revolve around various Elemental reactions. When she was first released, many people thought that Sangonomiya Kokomi was underwhelming when it came to damage dealing. Luckily, the developer understood this, and Genshin Impact fans were treated with an artifact set one version later.
This new Ocean-Hued Clam artifact set successfully dethrones Heart of Depths from being the best artifact set for offensive Kokomi. Now, Kokomi can brilliantly do different works, whether it's support, sub-DPS, or main DPS. Updated on May 30, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: There are many viable teams for Kokomi in Genshin Impact. Players can use her as a main DPS, Hydro enabler, buffer, or simply a dedicated healer. Thanks to Furina being one of the best buffers in the game who demands a second healer in their team, Kokomi's viability becomes more apparent in the meta. Although Kokomi's Hydro application enables her to participate in reactions such as Vaporize, Superconduct, and Electro-charged, the current meta mostly revolves around her playing as a main DPS, as a Freeze support, or Hydro provider for Bloom teams.
4 Kokomi + Yelan + Furina + Kazuha
Kokomi is more than capable of playing as the main DPS. For that, this team will focus wholly on DPS Kokomi. This Kokomi team consists of three Hydro units and one Anemo to trigger Hydro Swirl and reduce the enemy's Hydro RES with Viridescent Venerer set. Naturally, the best Anemo support for this role is Kazuha, who can buff the entire team's Hydro DMG based on his Elemental Mastery.
Kokomi, Yelan, and Furina all scale with HP, meaning they can greatly benefit from the Hydro Resonance they create together. With Kokomi's constant Normal Attack and healing, she can synergize with both Yelan and Furina, maximizing Yelan's damage and Furina's buff at the same time.

3 Kokomi + Ayaka + Shenhe + Escoffier
For a Kokomi Perma-Freeze team, players will need a Cryo and Anemo character or more than two Cryo units along with Sangonomiya Kokomi. In a Morgana team comp, players can opt to make Kokomi a support/sub-DPS or the main DPS. If the Divine Priestess is taking the main DPS role, then the Cryo unit should be a sub-DPS, and vice versa.
In this example, Kokomi will play as the Hydro enabler, while Ayaka takes the spotlight as the main DPS. Supporting Ayaka are Shenhe and Escoffier, whose combined abilities can provide a massive DMG boost for Ayaka and RES reduction for the enemies.

2 Kokomi + Nilou + Nahida + Baizhu
Nilou's Bloom Team is incredibly powerful but at the same time limited, making it an underdog among the best team comps in Genshin Impact. Nilou Bloom team can only consist of Hydro and Dendro characters, meaning players must specifically invest in these two Elements to make her viable.

Ineffa provides damage bonuses for Lunar-Charged reaction in Genshin Impact, so including Hydro characters in Ineffa team comps is highly recommended.
In this Nilou Bloom team comp, Nahida and Baizhu will work together to enable Dendro for enemies, while Kokomi takes on the main DPS role, splashing the foe with her formidable little fish attacks.

For a cheaper Bloom team, players can use Kuki Shinobu to trigger Hyperbloom instead. Unlike Nilou with her limitations, Kuki Hyperbloom team is more accessible due to the fact that she's a four-star character in Genshin Impact. In this Kokomi team comp, she takes the role of a Hydro enabler while Kuki will be the one triggering Hyperbloom.
As usual, Nahida and Baizhu will work together to continuously apply Dendro, triggering Bloom when Kokomi throws her water hits on the enemy.
