An Artist Adrift quest in Genshin Impact is a daily-reset locked mission where players have to wait until the next day to progress through it. After meeting Julien for the first time and helping him find his luggage, Paimon will ask the Traveler to go check on him the next day.

Head to Julien’s camp and players will find that he’s not there. After meeting the artist, he’ll mention that he lost his sketch in the cave. To help Julien search the road for the missing sketch in An Artist Adrift quest in Genshin Impact, players must keep a sharp eye on a hidden passage.

To search the road for the missing sketch in Genshin Impact, players must find a hidden passage in the cave. From the entrance, walk forward and turn left when the road splits.

This area is the place where Mihir was once trapped in a Purple Mist. If players haven’t unlocked the cave yet, then they need to progress in Sorush’s quest first.

Back at the camp, Paimon asks the artist about the drawing, thinking that he took it with a special Kamera. However, Julien reveals that he actually drew that. He has the ability to draw things realistically, but he doesn’t perceive color the same way as other people, which means his work is often seen as having incorrect color. This ability is also bestowed upon him and is not a result of hard work, which convinces him that he deserves this deficiency.

Julien says that he journeys to Sumeru in the hope to find a cure for his condition. However, he has come to terms that this cure is not easily accessible for a mere mortal like him. After thanking the Traveler and apologizing for not being able to reward the protagonist more, Julien makes one final request to be guided towards the main road.

The following conversation ends day #2 of An Artist Adrift quest in Genshin Impact. Players need to wait for the daily reset for the next part of Julien’s quest chain.

Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
