Released in Version 4.7 of Genshin Impact, Sethos joins Clorinde, who was released at the same time, in being the first Electro characters added to the game since Cyno in Version 3.1. In addition to that, he's only the third male Electro character added, following Razor and Cyno, who both share his canine theming.
Players looking to add Sethos to their team will likely want to be sure that he's operating at maximum efficiency. This will require ascending him and upgrading his talents, which will be possible with the items outlined in this guide.
Sethos Leveling Materials
Be they the descendant of an ancient and legendary clan in Sumeru or just an everyday citizen, every playable character in Genshin Impact requires the same amount of EXP between each ascension level and to reach the maximum level of 90.

Sethos Ascension Materials
Dotted around the Sumeru deserts and rainforests are various Eremite camps, where the mercenary enemies can be found and defeated. They'll drop their eye coverings upon defeat, which Sethos needs for his ascension. Additionally, he'll need some Vajrada Amethyst, the previously-unused Trishiraite, and a boss material from Chenyu Vale. For a text-only version of this table, click here.

Gemstones - Where to Find Vajrada Amethyst
All Electo characters need some Vajrada Amethyst to ascend. This purple gem can be found in a few different ways, but most of it will come as a reward for defeating corresponding bosses:

The Steeple of Ignorance domain is the source of the Sumeru talent books, including the Praxis series used by Sethos. This specific series can only be obtained by clearing the domain on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Reliving the fight against the Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom in the Joururi Workshop trounce domain can result in obtaining some unique items. One of these is Daka's Bell, which Sethos uses in his talent upgrades.
