A recently released Cryo character, Shenhe's constellations will further enhance her role as a Support in Genshin Impact. When she uses her Elemental Skill, Spring Spirit Summoning, Shenhe grants stacks of Icy Quills to her entire team. Then, if a character deals Cryo damage, it will be enhanced based on Shenhe's total attack. The buff lasts for a few hits, then it disappears until Shenhe can use her Skill again.
Genshin Impact is known for releasing characters that have limited functionality at zero constellation. Afterward, the developer places their true potential in their constellations. So, is Shenhe one of those characters? Here's an analysis os Shenhe's constellations to help characters determine if they're worth the Primogems.
Are Shenhe’s Constellations Worth It In Genshin Impact?
Shenhe is built to buff Cryo attacks, yet for some reason, she cannot offer that buff continuously. With no Sacrificial Polearm available in Genshin Impact, Shenhe's Elemental Skill doesn't give reliable buffs at C0, where it's limited to only five or seven hits. This restricting "feature" can only be abolished with Shenhe's constellation.
C1 - Clarity of Heart
- Constellation effect: Spring Spirit Summoning can be used 1 more time.
- Importance: Priority
C1 Shenhe is exactly what she needs to be an acceptable Cryo buffer. She can now join her team rotations and keep them buffed with one more charge on her Elemental Skill. It is recommended that players opt for Shenhe's C1 if they want her to be reliable.
C2 - Centered Spirit
- Constellation effect: Divine Maiden's Deliverance lasts for 6 seconds longer. Active characters within the skill's field deal 15% increased Cryo Crit damage.
- Importance: High
Shenhe's second constellation increases her Elemental Burst duration from 12 seconds to 18. Considering her cooldown is 20 seconds, players can maintain almost 100% uptime on her Elemental Burst. This way, players will endlessly have extra 15% Cryo damage and 15% Cryo Crit damage. If players upgrade her talent to level 10, they will also reduce the enemy's Cryo and Physical Resistance by 15%.
C4 - Insight
- Constellation effect: Shenhe gains a Skyfrost Mantra stack when an ally triggers the Icy Quill damage bonus. When she uses her Elemental Skill, she'll consume these stacks and increase her Skill damage by 5%. Maximum 50 stacks and it lasts for 60s.
- Importance: Medium
Considering Shenhe is a Cryo Support, she doesn’t really need the extra damage provided by this constellation. This bonus can decently increase her Elemental Skill's damage if Shenhe is equipped with damage build, but it's not recommended as it will affect her supporting capabilities.
C6 - Mystical Abandon
- Constellation effect: Triggering Icy Quill's effects using Normal or Charged Attack does not count toward the trigger quota.
- Importance: Priority
C6 Shenhe becomes an amazing Cryo Support, completely losing the Icy Quills limitation when her team deals Cryo damage on their Normal and Charged Attacks. This buff can massively enhance the potentials of characters like Ganyu and Ayaka.
Genshin Impact is now available on Mobile, PC, PS4, and PS5. A Switch version is in development.
