Genshin Impact is filled with many different materials for players to find throughout its world. While some of these materials are used for cooking and crafting, others are required for character ascensions.
When performing a character ascension in Genshin Impact, each character has its own different requirements for materials. One category for these materials is listed as "local specialty." This usually means that the material is one from the character's homeland.

Updated on November 29, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: Silk Flowers have soft pink petals and grow in red bushes within certain areas in Liyue. The Flowers are considered a local specialty and are used to level up characters in Genshin Impact like 
Hu Tao and 
Xingqiu. Usually, any character requires 168 local specialties to unlock the final ascension level. Since Silk Flowers are somewhat rare, it’s best to collect these flowers regularly to ensure that players have enough when leveling up characters. Luckily, there are other methods to collect Silk Flowers in Genshin Impact.
Silk Flower Locations In Genshin Impact
Silk Flowers are found plenty in Liyue and unlike 
Sweet Flowers that can grow anywhere in the wild, Silk Flowers grow in bright red bushes in certain places. Each bush will grow two local specialties in Genshin Impact, which means Travelers can have more Silk Flowers for their characters' ascension. Silk Flower requires 48 hours to respawn, but do not worry as players can obtain it through other methods. 
Silk Flower bushes can be found in two different places around Liyue; Wangshu Inn and Liyue Harbor.
Wangshu Inn
The first place is by Wangshu Inn, where there are a few bushes on the island part of the inn growing by the roads. Specifically, players can find seven bushes, which means there will be 14 Flowers available in Genshin Impact.
Liyue Harbor
The other location is in Liyue Harbor. The ones in Liyue Harbor can be found at Yujing Terrance with players just needing to look out for the red bushes. Similar to Wangshu Inn, there are seven bushes and since the local specialty grows in pairs, there will also be 14 Silk Flowers.
Where To Buy Silk Flowers In Genshin Impact
Players also have the ability to purchase Silk Flowers with Mora. There are three merchants in total, and while two of them are found in Liyue, only one is located in Sumeru. All three vendors in Genshin Impact sell Silk Flower for 1,000 Mora and restock every three days.

Additionally, Travelers may also purchase some 
Silk Flower Seeds from the Realm Depot in the 
Serenitea Pot by speaking with Tubby. After that, plant the seeds on the Luxuriant Glebe and wait two days to harvest them.
