Phase 2 Spiral Abyss of Genshin Impact 3.5 is likely one of the few infuriating Abyss rotations in the game. In the final chamber, players will face a Setekh Wenut. This boss is far from fearsome as it's not in any way deadly, but it spends most of its life underground, making it tough for players to attack it. If players don't understand how to beat Setekh Wenut and how to handle its weakness, they'll find themselves wasting so much of that precious Spiral Abyss timer without even doing anything.

Fortunately, by learning Setekh Wenut's movement pattern in the Genshin Impact 3.5 Spiral Abyss, players can create a strategy to always be ready to attack the boss each time it surfaces and be vulnerable to attacks.

Spiral Abyss Floor 9

floor 9 of spiral abyss in genshin impact

In Spiral Abyss Floor 9, the Shrooms and Eremites spawn around the battlefield in a wide range. So, it can be tedious to hunt them down since players must follow them around the map. An Anemo unit that is good at controlling enemies like Kazuha or Venti can be a great help. In addition to a CC unit, players can also use characters that have good mobility like Yelan or Wanderer. Their good movement allows them to sweep the area faster.

Sample Team

  • First Half:
    • Nilou + Nahida + Kokomi + Dendro Traveler
    • Wanderer + Xingqiu + Faruzan + Bennett
  • Second Half:
    • Heizou + Nahida + Yelan + Thoma
    • Sucrose + Fischl + Kokomi + Xiangling

Floor 9 - 1

spiral abyss floor 9 chamber 1 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The Hydro Slime will spawn first next to a couple of Shrooms before the Large Hydro Slime and the Fungus appear. Some of the Shrooms and Fungus may float midair and the active character won’t be able to reach them with Melee attacks. Always bring along at least one Bow or a Catalyst user to hit them at least once, since it doesn’t matter the amount of DMG done to them to get them to fall.
  • Second Half: Since there is melee and ranged Eremites in the second half, move next to the ranged ones and the melee Eremites will follow the active character. Once players collect enough Eremites, start dealing DMG.

Floor 9 - 2

spiral abyss floor 9 chamber 2 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The second chamber also contains two types of Hilichurl, ranged and melee ones. Keep prioritizing the Ranged units to lure the Mitachurls close enough to defeat them all at once.
  • Second Half: The second half starts with two large Hydro Slimes spawning right in front of two Large Pyro Slimes with a Samachurl in the middle. Target the Samachurl and the Slimes will find their way to the active unit. To defeat the four Slimes, an Anemo unit can quickly get rid of them since it will keep swirling their Elements on each other. After defeating the first wave, two Hydro Abyss Mages will appear close to each other. Any Element besides Hydro can break their shields, however, Dendro is the best Element to quickly break the Hydro Abyss Mages’ shields.

Floor 9 - 3

spiral abyss floor 9 chamber 3 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The third chamber is similar to the first one where players will face a couple of Shrooms and Fungus that are scattered around the area. Use Anemo to CC, and ranged attacks to bring them down if they float.
  • Second Half: Only three Eremites will spawn on the second half of 9-3. One Eremite is an enemy that inflicts Physical DMG, while one can deal Electro DMG and the last unleashes Cryo attacks. There is no order of whom to defeat first, but make sure to keep them next to each other.

Spiral Abyss Floor 10

floor 10 of spiral abyss in genshin impact

Floor 10 of 3.5 Spiral Abyss starts with Shrooms and Fungus enemies before quickly transitioning into a wide variety of enemies like Kairagi, Bathysmal Vishap, and Fatui units. The common theme of the first half of all chambers is having large groups of enemies to be dealt with by AoE units. While the second half has enemies that have decent Electro resistance.

    • Keqing + Nahida + Xingqiu + Dendro Traveler
  • Second Half:
    • Tighnari + Raiden Shogun + Zhongli + Kujou Sara
    • Ayaka + Xiangling + Shenhe + Bennett

Floor 10 - 1

spiral abyss floor 10 chamber 1 in genshin impact
  • First Half: The Shrooms and Fungus on this floor are slightly more aggressive than the ones on floor 9. However, they still operate the same way, so players must keep collecting them with an Anemo unit and make sure they have a ranged attack at least to bring them down if they float.
  • Second Half: Primordial Bathysmal Vishaps keep moving around and can tank a good amount of DMG in Genshin Impact. Players must prepare a support that can shield or heal their DMG while making sure they take both Primordial Bathysmal Vishaps down as fast as possible.

Floor 10 - 2

spiral abyss floor 10 chamber 2 in genshin impact
  • First Half: Floor 10-2 of the Spiral Abyss 3.5 contains two Kairagi and three Ranged Eremites units in its first half. To quickly finish them, keep prioritizing one of the three Eremites and switch to the second Eremite when the first target falls. The Kairagi will keep following players around eating free DMG in the process. Once the Eremites are dead, destroy both Kairagi at once.
  • Second Half: This half heavily requires a good shielder that can absorb the two enemies’ DMG. Both Lawachurl and the Electro Abyss mage deal a great amount of AoE DMG. They’re also shielded, so, players must bring at least one Cryo or Pyro unit to destroy their shields.

Floor 10 - 3

spiral abyss floor 10 chamber 3 in genshin impact
  • First Half: Floor 10-3 contains a bunch of Fatui and big Eremite units that are capable of dealing some decent DMG. Prioritize the Hydrogunner Fatui so he won't heal them, then switch the target to the Pyroslinger. The three Eremites will keep following the active character, so defeating them should happen along the way.
  • Second Half: The second half starts with a Mirror Maiden in the middle and two Cicin Mages spawning behind on each side. The best way to deal with them is by collecting them all with a good Anemo unit like Venti or Kazuha.

Spiral Abyss Floor 11

spiral abyss floor 11 in genshin impact

The entire floor 11 has been changed in the second phase of Genshin Impact version 3.5 of the Spiral Abyss. The second half of each chamber is now filled with Hydro enemies such as the Hydro Abyss Mage and the Hydro Hypostasis. So, bringing a Dendro unit in the second half is recommended. As for the first half, it’s swarmed with large tanky enemies that will surely DPS-check players before letting them pass to the next chamber.

    • Xiao + Xiangling + Sucrose + Bennett
  • Second Half:
    • Collei + Lisa + Yaoyao + Kokomi
    • Nilou + Alhaitham + Yelan + Kokomi

Floor 11 - 1

spiral abyss floor 11 chamber 1 monsters in genshin impact
  • First Half: The first half of the first chamber on floor 11 starts with two Kairagi. Both can tank DMG and heal after some time, so players must race that timer to finish them before healing. The real issue in this half starts after defeating the two Kairagi, players will face a Consecrated Red Vulture and Scorpion. Both beasts are extremely aggressive and will always stay close as they keep attacking. To kill the Consecrated beasts, bring a decent AoE hitter like Xiao or use team compositions that generate AoE DMG like Burgeon.
  • Second Half: The second half begins with three Eremites, each taking a side. All three Eremites are melee and will run to the active character, so players shouldn’t worry about collecting them. After defeating the Eremites, three Hydro Abyss Mages will appear. To defeat the Abyss Mages, use continuous Dendro attacks to take down their shields.

Floor 11 - 2

spiral abyss floor 11 chamber 2 monsters in genshin impact
  • First Half: This half is heavily filled with enemies that can endlessly control players, especially by putting so many Hydro and Cryo enemies to keep triggering Freeze reactions on the active character. It’s important to swiftly defeat the four Fatui units before shielding or each one of them requires a different Element to break it. Use strong AoE units or Anemo users to collect them and keep controlling them to disallow them from summoning their shields. Xiao is a great choice in Genshin Impact 3.5 Abyss since he keeps losing HP and that will grant him an additional DMG% from the Spiral Abyss’ blessing. The Mirror maiden and two Fatui Cryo Cicin Mages spawn after defeating the four Fatui. Other than the Mirror Maiden’s CC, their Cryo and Hydro Element can CC as well. If players don't bring a Pyro enabler, target the Cryo Cicin Mage first to avoid having to deal with their Cryo shield.
  • Second Half: This half is tricky since it contains 18 Hydro Mimic that will create chaos on the floor. The main note to take here is that most of these Mimics will explode upon defeat, dealing a great amount of Hydro DMG. Players can counter that explosion by shielding their party or by timing one of the characters’ Elemental Burst to become invincible and absorb the DMG. Having DPS Dendro users Like Tighnari, Alhaitham, or Nahida can swiftly clear this chamber. Additionally, there are some flying Mimics that demand ranged hits to beat.

Floor 11 - 3

spiral abyss floor 11 chamber 3 monsters in genshin impact
  • First Half: Jadeplume Terrorshroom is a solid DMG test for players before moving into the Spiral Abyss Floor 12 in Genshin Impact. The best way to defeat the Jadeplume Terrorshroom is by using Electro attacks and filling the meter. Once the Jadeplume enters its Activated state, absorb its Burst DMG by using a shielder or dash away from its attacks until it falls to the ground. Then, while the Jadeplume is defenseless and stunned, players have a window of 15 seconds to inflict the most possible DMG.
  • Second Half: Hypostasis bosses in general go through a lot of invincible states. Players must ensure they can punish the Hydro Hypostasis after it enters its defenseless state. Additionally, be aware of the small Slimes that the boss summons across the map to heal it back, always target these Slimes first. When players finish the Hydro Hypostasis’ HP, healing Slimes will appear and start moving toward the boss. Players must kill them before they reach their destination or else the boss will get a portion of its HP back. To defeat the Slimes easily, hit them with Dendro or Cryo attack.

Spiral Abyss Floor 12

spiral abyss floor 12 in genshin impact

Just like floor 11, Floor 12 of the second phase of the 3.5 Spiral Abyss got revamped with new enemies. The most notable one is the Setekh Wenut at the end of 12-3 Abyss chamber. The first half of each chamber contains some strong Cryo units that can summon a Cryo shield alongside Maguu Kenki. So, Pyro units are a must to take down those shields easily.

For the second half of each chamber on floor 12, it’s recommended for F2P players to build Hyperbloom teams since it contains a Synergy between the Dendro and Electro units to keep triggering Aggravate and Spread alongside the ability to continuously create Dendro Cores and trigger them into Hyperblooms. These Dendro reactions in Genshin Impact create a stream of massive DMG if used correctly.

    • Nilou + Kokomi + Nahida + Dendro Traveler
    • Keqing + Fischl + Yaoyao + Xingqiu

Floor 12 - 1

spiral abyss floor 12 chamber 1 monsters in genshin impact
  • First Half: Floor 12-1 starts with the Eremite Scorching Loremaster standing in the middle with two Eremites on her both sides. The Loremaster will summon a Pyro Scorpion and her resistance will be greatly increased. Switch the priority to the Scorpion to reduce her resistance back and kill the three Eremites. After defeating them, the Cryo Abyss Herald will make an appearance. Just like the other Abyss Heralds, avoid the Cryo Abyss Herald’s attacks or absorb them and take its HP down so they can summon their Cryo shield. From here, only Elemental attacks matter, especially Pyro. Units like Xiangling, Hu Tao, and Bennett can quickly destroy the shield and defeat the Cryo Abyss Herald.
  • Second Half: The second half of floor 12-1 is almost an exact replica of the first half. The half begins with an Eremite Floral Ring-dancer that summons Dendro Serpent with two Eremites next to her. Defeat them using the same method used in the first half and two Hydro Abyss Heralds will spawn. The difference between the Hydro Abyss Heralds and the others is they move around often, making it hard to catch them. Players can use Cryo units like Ganyu or Ayaka to keep them frozen while taking down their shields or depend on Hyperbloom DMG since they will target enemies; Dendro is the best Element to break the Hydro Abyss Herald's shield in Genshin Impact.

Floor 12 - 2

spiral abyss floor 12 chamber 2 monsters in genshin impact
  • First Half: The first half of floor 12-2 has a level 98 Maguu Kenki boss in Genshin Impact. The boss takes 10 to 12 seconds to leave its invincible state, so avoid using any rotation at that time. Instead, use it to regenerate the team’s Energy by casting low CD Elemental Skills. Maguu Kenki will enter another invincible state briefly after for a few seconds when it gets to almost 70% HP. From now on, it’s the usual dashing around dealing high Anemo and Cryo DMG. It’s a true race against time since Maguu Kenki does its best to stall that timer non-stop.
  • Second Half: The second half of floor 12-2 starts with three Shadowy Husks and continue into three Black Serpent Knights. The Shadowy Husks in the first wave are sturdy and can tank a lot of DMG. Once they spawn, go to the middle, then slowly move left while fighting them. Players should try to stand next to the Defender unit (colored in light blue) since it’s the only enemy that doesn’t move. Sooner or later, all three Husks will be in the same target area and players can AoE them. The second wave has one Rockbreaker Ax and two Windcutter. Players must take down the Rockbreaker since it will continuously try to protect the other two Husks. Once the Rockbreaker creates its shields, it won’t break until players get behind them and attack the shield holder. After that, just like the first wave, use AoE high DMG to take down all three Serpent Knights since they will gather around the active character.

Floor 12 - 3

spiral abyss floor 12 chamber 3 monsters in genshin impact
  • First Half: Floor 12-3 in Spiral Abyss is one of the reasons why a Pyro unit is necessary. The first wave has a Ruin Guard with two Cryo Lawachurls on the second wave. The Ruin Guard is only strong against Physical DMG, so dealing DMG with any other unit should get the job done. As for the Lawachurls, players must ensure to include a Pyro unit that can take advantage of their Cryo shield since during that time, players can continuously trigger Melt, especially with Xiangling since she doesn’t have any ICD on her Burst. It’s important to finish this half as fast as possible since the Setekh Wenut in the second half spends most of its time underground in its invincible state.
  • Second Half: Nobody knows why Setekh Wenut made it into the Spiral Abyss’ last floor and chamber, but here we are. This boss is insanely annoying since it doesn’t give players the chance to fight it fairly and wastes an eternity sleeping underground. Ranting aside, to defeat Setekh Wenut in the 3.5 Spiral Abyss, players can tend to two methods. First, for P2W players, brute force the boss every time it appears, dealing massive DMG, especially with a C2 Raiden Shogun. As for F2P players, a Hyperbloom team holds the best results. However, it’s not that simple. Players must make sure to prepare all their skills and Bursts while Setekh Wenut is in its invincible state and once it appears, unleash all the reactions upon it. Keep repeating the same rotation until the Setekh Wenut is defeated.
how to beat setekh wenut and where to find it in genshin impact

Here’s an example of a team rotation to defeat the Setekh Wenut in the 3.5 Spiral Abyss:

  • Starts with Nahida’s Burst before Setekh Wenut makes an appearance
  • Switch to Xingqiu and cast his Burst
  • Setekh Wenut will emerge from the ground, switch to Kuki Shinobu, and cast her skill
  • As the boss is going down again, switch to Nahida and cast her skill, then continuously tap her Normal attacks
    • That will trigger a couple of Hyperblooms that will hit the Setekh Wenut
  • Move to the next location of the Setekh Wenut (it should be obvious where the boss is heading) and skill with the Dendro Traveler’s Skill to reduce Setekh Wenut’s resistance to Dendro (via 4-Deepwood Memories)
  • When the Setekh Wenut finally pops up again, attack it with Nahida since the rotation’s setup is still active
    • That will create a synergy of Hyperbloom and Spread DMG
  • Setekh Wenut then appears at the end of the area to shoot the entire place with its attack. Run there to perform a series of actions.
    • Skill with Dendro Traveler
    • Burst and Skill with Kuki Shinobu
    • Double Skill and Burst with Xingqiu
    • Skill with Nahida and perform a couple of Normal attacks before too late
    • Once Setekh Wenut goes underground, Burst with Nahida and moves to its next location
setekh wenut summoning windbite bullets in genshin impact
  • Setekh Wenut will get into the arena with a couple of Windbite Bullets scattered around it, target the Windbite Bullets with AoE or ranged hits to bring the Setekh Wenut down
  • Once the boss falls down, Burst with the Dendro Traveler and switch to Nahida to spam her Normal attacks again
  • Keep repeating this rotation since the Setekh Wenut will keep doing the same moves
