It's always exhilarating to unlock a new area in Genshin Impact. Dragonspine introduced many new quests as well as puzzles for travelers to solve and earn various rewards. The Lost in Snow quest is all about helping a small child, Joel, find his father.
Ineffa Build In Genshin Impact
Ineffa may look like a support, but her Genshin Impact build is so offensive that she could be a main DPS, if not for her poor Normal Attack scalings.
Updated July 10, 2025, by Nahda Nabiilah: While heading towards Dragonspine from the warmth of the nearby camp, you will encounter a small boy named Joel with a blue mark above his head, indicating a quest in Genshin Impact. After promising him to find his father, players must find three hidden camps and then report back to Joel to complete the Lost in Snow quest.
How To Trigger Lost In Snow Quest In Genshin Impact
To trigger the Lost in Snow quest in Genshin Impact, head to the camp northeast of Dragonspine, by the border of the snowy mountain. Find a little boy called Joel, who will ask players to find his lost father. The last place Joel remembers seeing his father is in the Dragonspine region of Genshin Impact, which features brutally cold, mountainous terrain.
Ineffa Best Weapons In Genshin Impact
Ineffa needs to have offensive stats like ATK and Crit from her weapons in Genshin Impact.
Dragonspine can be confusing to players who have never been there before and don't know how to adapt to the cold conditions. A pyro element character will be vital to lighting fires to keep the party warm. The Sheer Cold status effect starts the moment the party steps into the area, and it can cause players to lose life very quickly. In order to protect themselves from Sheer Cold, players can:
- Keep a healer ready at all times.
- Upgrade the Frostbearing Tree to make a Warming Bottle.
- Eat food that prevents Sheer Cold.
- Stand near a waypoint, Statue of the Seven, torch, bonfire, or other heating items.
- Utilize Scarlet Quartz scattered in the area.
How To Follow The Snow-Covered Path To Search For Joel's Father In Genshin Impact
Players need to head for one of the father's last known locations near the Statue of the Seven in Dragonspine. Travelers who have unlocked the statue before can spawn there directly. If not, they will have to jump down a cliff and head into a small cave. After defeating any enemies around the camp, find the neatly written note by Joel's father. It claims that he believes the weather conditions to be good and wants to break for the summit.
How To Find Joel's Father By Heading To The Summit In Genshin Impact
For this second part of the Genshin Impact mission, fast travel will come in handy since the last location is directly across from the statue. If not, head across the path to the far side of the mountain while stopping to make fire if necessary. Once players get there, they can walk around the huge pit and turn right on the path.
There should be another similar camp on the player's left-hand side. Occasionally, a powerful Hilichurl does spawn here, so be careful and defeat it before investigating the note. It will state that a powerful storm forced Joel's father to lose half of his supplies and hide in a cave downhill.
To finish the quest, travel back to the Statue of the Seven and walk toward the waypoint. There will be a breakable stone wall covering Joel's father's last camp, revealing his unfortunate fate. Report to Joel about what happened to his father to complete the Lost in Snow quest and receive the following rewards:
-
Hero's Wit
x2
- Primogems x40
-
Mora
x30,000
- Adventure EXP x300
-
