Genshin Impact has officially revealed a couple of interesting changes that should go live with the upcoming Version 5.4. Genshin Impact has a tight update schedule, with a new version of the game arriving approximately every 45 days, which allows HoYoverse to make frequent adjustments.
Genshin Impact has already announced that the next update will feature a mysterious five-star character, the new Anemo user Mizhuki. While the main focus of each update remains on the new roster additions or terrain expansions, Genshin Impact also introduces many quality-of-life improvements that heavily impact the overall gaming experience.

Genshin Impact reveals the revenue difference between the two currently featured five-star characters, the Pyro Archon Mavuika and Citlali.
Genshin Impact released a new Developers Discussion that revealed tons of upcoming changes, focusing mainly on improving the overall character-building experience. According to the announcement, the Training Guide will once again be upgraded, and the whole process of building up a new character will be more streamlined. The main reason for this is that with the release of numerous new characters and resource materials, many players, especially new Travelers, can often get lost in the process of obtaining the right items. The new mechanic will allow players to set up their own Level-Up Plan, which will allow them to focus on the main methods of obtaining the required materials in Genshin Impact. Once they collect a certain amount of a specific material, they will receive a notification that they have reached a certain target in their plan.
Genshin Impact Fans Are Excited About Sanctifying Elixir Changes
Another important character-building mechanic that will be introduced is the Recommended Secondary Attributes function. This will allow players to quickly find weapons that suit their current character. Refinement Levels for weapons will get an Auto Add function that will allow players to easily increase the refinement status of their weapon. Many people agreed that their favorite change mentioned in the Developers Discussion is the one related to Genshin Impact's Sanctifying Elixir.
This item allows players to modify their Artifact pieces in Genshin Impact so that they feature a preferred main stat and up to two preferred sub-stats. The new change will guarantee that once the Sanctifying Elixir is used on an artifact, the two sub-stats will receive at least two enhancements when increasing its level to 20. Overall, players seem excited about all the changes, and many comments praise HoYoverse for listening to their feedback.
However, it should be noted that, unlike the previously mentioned changes, the Sanctifying Elixir change will go live with update 5.5 and be closely monitored, meaning that HoYoverse could make additional adjustments in the future. Going by HoYoverse's usual update schedule, Genshin Impact Version 5.4 should arrive around February 12, while Version 5.5 is expected to drop around March 26.
