The upcoming Flagship Event for Genshin Impact could be especially exciting, as a recent leak reveals that it will take place on Dragonspine, thus likely involving Wanderer, Albedo, and Durin. While the overarching story in Genshin Impact deals with the dark legacy of Khaenri'ah, the Flagship Events concerning Albedo have often unexpectedly revealed important lore about the setting of Teyvat. As a result, Genshin Impact players have often asked HoYoverse to integrate the character's Flagship Events as Albedo Story Quests.
While this effort has been fruitless thus far, it seems highly likely that Albedo will make his return to the spotlight in Version 5.2. Notably, the recent Summer Event in Genshin Impact introduced a version of Durin in Simulanka which was befriended by Wanderer, ending with Albedo's warning that the heart of the original Durin was revitalizing itself. The scene explicitly established that Wanderer and his new companion would be needed to prevent Durin from visiting destruction upon Mondstadt once again.
It would seem that Genshin Impact players will get to experience the continuation of this storyline sooner than expected, as leaker FouL has revealed that the Flagship Event in Version 5.2 will focus entirely on Dragonspine. Albedo, Durin, and Wanderer in Genshin Impact will likely have major roles in Version 5.2, and this claim is further strengthened by a separate leak.
Genshin Impact Version 5.2 Will Likely Involve Durin, Albedo, and Wanderer
Wanderer was linked to the Event Banners for Version 5.2 in Genshin Impact, and given that HoYoverse tends to feature characters with recent Event appearances, it all but confirms he will make the journey to Dragonspine in the upcoming patch. With Chasca and an Archon taking their place on the Event Banners in Version 5.2 as well, it leaves one spot available for Albedo.
Unfortunately, given the popularity of Chiori over Albedo in Genshin Impact, HoYoverse may be looking to release the Chalk Prince in another version of the Chronicled Banner. However, if there is one positive to be drawn from Albedo events, it's that they tend to give great 4-star weapons. With Version 5.1 giving players a free copy of Candace for its Flagship Event, it leaves Version 5.2 in a perfect position to drop another Cinnabar Spindle or Festering Desire. Version 5.2 is expected to launch on November 20, 2024, while its Flagship Event should be expected during the first half of the patch.
