Genshin Impact is further upgrading its Battle Pass in Version 6.0, allowing players to skip the hassle of collecting Local Specialties to ascend their characters. The Battle Pass in Genshin Impact is considered great value when pitted against its pricey Genesis Crystal packs. It grants players bountiful amounts of Mora, Sanctifying Essence, and Hero's Wit – but most importantly, it also provides them with an extra 8 Intertwined Wishes per Battle Pass.
The Battle Pass in Genshin Impact appears quite different as it enters Version 6.0 compared to its state in Version 5.0. Players can not only choose their reward plan, but the Premium track is littered with new items, such as the Dust of Enlightenment and the Sanctifying Elixir. The former allows players to re-roll their Artifacts in Genshin Impact, while the latter enables them to craft their own. However, Version 6.0 is set to add even more value to the Battle Pass for those who purchase the Gnostic Hymn for $9.99.
Genshin Impact Leak Teases Free 5-Star Character for Version 6.0
A new Genshin Impact leak emerges within the community, suggesting that players will receive a free 5-Star character during Version 6.0.
Genshin Impact: Gnostic Hymn Value in Version 6.0
- 680 Primogems
- 1 Dust of Enlightenment
- 1 Sanctifying Elixir
- 4 Intertwined Fate
- 5 Fragile Resin
- 7 Guides of a Journey
- 2 Philosophies of a Journey
- 1 Battle Pass Weapon
- 15 Local Specialty
- 1,620,000 Mora
- 159 Hero's Wit
- 324 Mystic Enhancement Ore
- 45 Sanctifying Essence
The information comes from the beta for Version 6.0 via Kuroo, featuring a video detailing the Battle Pass and its new reward. Specifically, Level 3 of the paid Battle Pass now grants Genshin Impact players a choice of any Local Specialty, with the reward box containing 15 of the selected material. Given that it takes 48 hours for Local Specialties to respawn in Genshin Impact, having an extra 15 to work with can make a huge difference – especially for difficult-to-obtain specialties such as Scarabs, Sakura Blooms, and Violetgrass.
The Gnostic Hymn is largely valued for its convenience, as it showers the player with a multitude of materials and resources. However, the Battle Pass weapons in Genshin Impact are exclusive to the Gnostic Hymn, and many of them are well worth the price tag. Serpent Spine and Wolf-Fang are especially beloved, and scale decently well with refinement levels.
In many ways, the Song of the Welkin Moon feels like a soft rebranding of Genshin Impact as a whole, with HoYoverse continuing to make bolder choices in presentation and design. It remains to be seen whether this philosophy will extend to gameplay as well, but the further enrichment of the Battle Pass will no doubt be welcomed by Genshin Impact players. Fans will be able to find out more via Genshin Impact's panel at Gamescom or during the next Special Program Announcement. Version 6.0 is set to launch on September 10, 2025.
