The new Perlious Impact endgame activity is anticipated to release in Genshin Impact’s version 5.7 update, arriving on June 18, 2025. Players can also look forward to the expected release of Skirk, Dahlia, and Emilie as new playable characters in Genshin Impact in version 5.7, among a variety of new QoL features and system optimizations that are standard for each version update.
So far, there is still a lot that is unclear about this new endgame activity in Genshin Impact, notably including the rewards from the final stages and what prerequisites will be required before players can begin participating in this activity, if any. In the meantime, there have already been a handful of leaks and rumors for Genshin Impact related to the new Perilous Impact endgame activity, giving players a taste of what to expect from this new game mode.

What to Expect From Genshin Impact’s New Perilous Impact Version 5.7 Endgame Activity
- Encounters in Perilous Impact will be split into 3 sections, each lasting 2 minutes and requiring a new team composition. Stages 1-4 will allow players to reuse characters on multiple team compositions, while stages 5 and 6 will require 12 unique characters across all three teams (leak via Seele Leaks).
- Most, if not all, of the 6 total encounters in this activity are said to include a major boss enemy that is an open-world boss from Genshin Impact, and the bosses in stages 5 and 6 will have unique mechanics (via Seele Leaks).
- Co-op multiplayer will be available to play this activity with friends and strangers during stages 1-4, though multiplayer will be unavailable for stages 5 and 6 (via Seele Leaks).
- All characters will start each encounter with zero energy (leak via HomDGRat).
How Will the New Perilous Impact Endgame Activity Differ From the Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater?
Given how this activity will feature public co-op, it is expected to be easier, or at least more accessible, for players with lower-level characters and/or a lower Adventure Rank in Genshin Impact, compared to the Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium Theater. Another thing to note about the accessibility of this activity is that, while each encounter will require players to create three teams, unlike how Spiral Abyss and Imaginarium only require two separate teams, characters can allegedly be slotted onto multiple teams for the first few encounters in Perilous Impact. Therefore, players can technically begin participating in this activity with twelve or fewer unique characters unlocked in Genshin Impact.
Considering that there are ten free-to-play characters in Genshin Impact, and a free four-star playable character is typically available to earn from Genshin Impact’s flagship events in every other version update, the initial stages of this activity should be much more accessible compared to other endgame activities. However, for the final stages where co-op will be unavailable, and twelve unique characters will be required, the pinnacle of this activity should present a similar - if not more difficult - challenge than the Spiral Abyss and the Imaginarium Theater.
For gamers who are familiar with Zenless Zone Zero, a similar gacha game to Genshin Impact that also comes from development studio HoYoverse, the new Perilous Impact endgame activity is said to be similar to Zenless Zone Zero’s Deadly Assault game mode.
Perilous Impact’s Leaked Rewards
So far, the first half of the 6 total stages in this new endgame activity are said to be a great source of Primogems in Genshin Impact, given this activity’s accessibility. For the subsequent stages 4 and 5, the same leaks mentioned earlier from Seele Leaks also claim that players can earn Sanctifying Elixir from these stages. As for other rewards from this activity, including those from the final stage, these are currently unknown, though there’s speculation that the final stage may reward Transfigured Dreams, among other upgrade materials.
