Then there's the flying minigame, which can be a little difficult to control at first, but there's no denying just how downright fun it is to play around with. There are even a few triple spikes that begin showing up near the end of the level, which can be extremely difficult to overcome, making the ending pretty challenging but also very rewarding once it's been completed.

Deadlocked is mostly recognized for its challenging layout and gameplay, but what has also made it incredibly memorable to a lot of players is the extremely unique industrial design which features multiple gears and cogs spinning throughout the track, alongside a few metallic structures and even deadly robot machines. It's a real feast for the eyes, to the point where it's easy to get completely sidetracked and lose focus because of how gorgeous and richly detailed it is.

The floating portals already make the level tricky enough, but where the difficulty really ramps up is during the diagonal section where the player's cube will turn into a small arrow that is only capable of traveling in diagonal directions. Considering how lightning-fast the arrow is, it can take a lot of practice to get this lengthy area down, but learning it is extremely enjoyable thanks to how fluid and unique the movement feels.

There's also a floating portal that completely changes how jumping works, making the whole stage feel as if it's set in space with no gravity. The main reason Hexagon Force is such a beloved track among fans is because of how perfectly it manages to handle its difficulty. The level starts off fairly straightforward with only a few tricky segments here and there to keep the player on their toes, but as soon as it reaches the very narrow flying section, the stage considerably increases the difficulty in a final ditch attempt to stop the player from reaching the end.

There are also quite a few unique areas in the level that aren't really seen in the other stages, such as the diagonal blocks which completely change how the player jumps and their general flow of movement. This isn't even mentioning the Dual Portal which actually splits the cube in two pieces, forcing players to remain focused on all sides of the screen to make it out in one piece. Hexagon Force is a level that can be replayed over and over again without ever getting boring or bland thanks to its unique challenges and excellent pacing.
