Ghost of Yotei pre-orders are now live, and Sony has revealed the bonuses for each edition. In late April, Sony and Sucker Punch announced that Ghost of Yotei would release on October 2, 2025. That means a surprisingly short wait for fans, considering the companies did not officially reveal the game until September 2024. As that date draws closer, those who want to jump into the action as soon as possible can ensure they get a chance to do so by pre-ordering one of Ghost of Yotei's three editions.
Ghost of Yotei Creative Directors Share New Gameplay and 'Non-Linear' Campaign Details
Co-creative directors, Nate Fox and Jason Cornell provide fans with new gameplay and story campaign details for Ghost of Yotei.
As Sony had previously announced they would, pre-orders for Ghost of Yotei went live at 10am local time this morning. These come in three editions: Standard, Digital Deluxe, and the Collector's Edition, the last of which is only available to purchase through PlayStation Direct. All three versions come with seven PlayStation Network avatars, which will be available immediately after purchase, and an exclusive in-game mask. The Digital Deluxe package comes with some additional in-game content, including some armor and an early unlock of some maps. Players pre-ordering the Collector's Edition will get some physical bonuses, like a real-life version of Ghost of Yotei's Gwent-like minigame, Zeni Hajiki, and a tsuba, the handguard from a katana.

It's worth noting that only the Standard Edition has the option to get a physical copy of the game itself. Both the Digital Deluxe and Collector's Edition come with a digital copy, although all the exclusive goodies in the latter are real-world objects. Whether in physical or digital format, though, the game already looks enticing. Former PlayStation exec Shuhei Yoshida has praised Ghost of Yotei's early build, calling it bug-free and intuitive. That's not necessarily surprising, given the acclaim of the title's predecessor, but it is nice to hear.
With pre-orders now underway, Ghost of Yotei also has a chance to put Sony games back on top of its own stores. Earlier this year, Xbox-owned games were dominating PlayStation Store pre-orders, thanks to titles like Forza Horizon 5, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and Doom: The Dark Ages. The legacy of Ghost of Tsushima and a handful of exclusive pre-order bonuses may be enough to push Ghost of Yotei up the rankings.
