Sony invited its fans to come and play a gigantic PlayStation 5-themed pinball machine for themselves. The latest iteration of the PlayStation is turning four years old this year, with over 50 million units sold worldwide since its November 2020 launch. The PlayStation 5's overwhelming success is even outpacing its predecessor, the PlayStation 4.
It would be difficult to hold a conversation regarding the state of modern gaming without once mentioning the PlayStation 5. May 2024 also brought major developments for the console, as Sony recently announced the PlayStation 5 was now its most profitable console generation to date after statistics showed that it had generated over $106 billion in revenue in less than four years, far outpacing previous iterations.

Now, Sony is collaborating with the UEFA Champion League to further boost the platform's prominence with a PlayStation 5-themed pinball machine of truly epic proportions. The machine itself is styled with the iconic white and blue color scheme of the PS5. It is additionally decorated with several items taken from major first-party franchises, such as Kratos' Leviathan Axe from God of War and a racing helmet from Gran Turismo. The PlayStation mascot, Astro, is also playing the part of the spectator, and comes complete with a set of moving eyes.
Fans can try the PlayStation 5 pinball machine for themselves by visiting Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster, Central London, and the machine is even playable using Sony's iconic DualSense controller. The players who achieve the highest scores for Friday and Saturday will additionally win tickets to the UCL Finals match between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid, which is already scheduled for Sunday, June 2. Notably, the finals are also being held in London's Wembley Stadium, so the winners of Sony's contest won't have to leave the country to savor their victory.
