Developer Polyphony Digital has issued a fresh Gran Turismo 7 content update for June 2025. The latest Gran Turismo 7 update brings with it three new cars, alongside a handful of other additions.
Ever since GT7's launch in 2022, Polyphony Digital has maintained a consistent update schedule for the circuit racer. The usual GT7 update includes at least three cars, as well as a handful of new events and Scapes locations, while larger content drops often bring new gameplay features (like the GT Sophy AI racing agent), technical upgrades, and new tracks. GT7's last big update came in January 2025, adding four new cars, three new events, tons of changes to the physics simulation model, and much more.
For June 2025, GT7's monthly content update - dubbed 1.60 - remains on the modest side. Polyphony Digital has confirmed the addition of three new European cars to the GT7 roster with Update 1.60. First up is the 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Rally Car, a fan-favorite from older Gran Turismo games. Although a road-going version of this car is already in GT7, Update 1.60 brings the iconic rally-spec machine that won multiple WRC titles for Lancia. Joining the Integrale are two French entries: the 1987 Citroen BX 19 TRS - a distinctly boxy hatchback from the late 80s - and the 2021 Peugeot SUV 2008 Allure, a modern crossover.
In addition to the fresh set of cars, GT7 Update 1.60 includes three new World Circuits events, a new Extra Menu themed around Mercedes-Benz, and expanded GT Sophy compatibility in the form of the Alsace Village track layout - exclusive to PS5, of course. There's also a new Scapes photo mode location set in scenic Scotland, which will likely excite GT7's photography enthusiasts. That's all for the scope of Update 1.60's content, which falls exactly in line with GT7's Update 1.59 from last month.
Still, GT7 fans have been voicing complaints about Update 1.60, particularly Polyphony Digital's pattern of adding crossovers and SUVs to the circuit racer, while requests for more GT3 and motorsport-focused cars continue to pile up. It's worth noting, though, that each GT7 car takes around 300 days to model from scratch and add into the game. This means that the cars added in GT7 Update 1.60 have likely been in the works since August 2024, and that even if Polyphony Digital were to act on the feedback and begin modeling more motorsport cars, it'd take a long time for them to show up in the game.
