Developer Polyphony Digital has revealed a new Gran Turismo 7 update, adding new cars, World Circuit events, and more. Gran Turismo 7 update 1.56 will be available for PS5 and PS4 players for free.
Developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony, Gran Turismo 7 is the seventh entry in the Gran Turismo franchise. The game was released in 2022, featuring an extensive lineup of vehicles from all around the world, along with various tracks across America, Europe, and Asia. The developer has been actively releasing updates to keep Gran Turismo 7 engaging for players, adding new content, events, and more. Now, players have yet another free update with new things to enjoy.
Available at 10 p.m. (Wed) PST / 11 p.m. (Wed) MST / 12 a.m. CST / 1 a.m. EST, players will be able to download and install Gran Turismo 7 update 1.56. Although this is a small update, it still offers interesting content for players. It starts with the addition of three new cars to the Gran Turismo 7 lineup: the BMW Z4 3.0i ’03, Mercedes-Benz Unimog Type 411 ’62, and Peugeot 205 GTI ’88. Players can get these new cars from Brand Central, Used Cars, and Legends Cars. Each one features a realistic design true to the style players have come to expect from the game.
Players looking for more car customization options in Gran Turismo 7 will be happy to know that update 1.56 introduces a new base color for the Mazda 3 Gr.4, and they can acquire it from the Mazda showroom. Additionally, a new Peugeot Cafe Menu will be added to the “Extra” section. Players can also look forward to new World Circuit events, including Sunday Cup Classic: Red Bull Ring Short Track, European Sunday Cup 400: Grand Valley – South Reverse, and European FR Challenge 550: Autodrome Lago Maggiore – East.
Moreover, Gran Turismo 7's GT Sophy, the racing AI agent, will be available for new courses through the Quick Race menu. GT Sophy can learn and adapt to the player while racing, as well as react to the in-game environment and make complex decisions.
For now, only PlayStation players can enjoy Gran Turismo 7. A PC port was reportedly in development, but unfortunately for fans, a new report said it was canceled, and no new information has been released since then. While players wait for the update to be available, they have some good stuff to look forward to in Gran Turismo 7.
