Granblue Fantasy: Relink - How to Make Money Fast
Rupies make the world of Granblue Fantasy: Relink go round, and players will need tons of it if they want to get better gear for their crew.
The game's AI is totally capable of taking on even the hardest of challenges in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, though players should have a much better time if they pick the right characters for the computer to handle. For those curious, here are some great crew members who can provide a ton of value even when controlled by AI.
6 Vane
Capable Attacker and Defender
- Role: Tank
- Element: Water
As far as tanks go, Vane is a solid addition to any team that requires a frontline fighter, and he's pretty handy even in the early game if players decide to unlock him first. He can protect everyone by creating an Invincibility field, stun enemies for Link Attacks, draw aggro, and deal competent DPS with his hard-hitting axe swings.
The AI makes excellent use of Vane's abilities outside of the rare misuse of his Invincibility skill. Those who are just starting the post-story quests will immediately notice that AI-controlled Vane will often be the team's MVP after the majority of missions.
5 Siegfried
Highly Mobile Damage Dealer
- Role: DPS/Debuffer
- Element: Earth
Siegfried is one of the most mobile melee fighters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and that's largely due to his Lunge attack. Having Siegfried in the team means someone will always be up in a boss' face, even if the target repositions or knocks everyone back. As an added cherry on top, Siegfried isn't a selfish DPS unit — he can reduce the DEF of targets, making them take more damage from everyone in the party.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink - How To Play Katalina (& Best Build)
Katalina is one of the best characters in Granblue Fantasy: Relink; here's her best build, skills, and combos.
The AI makes good use of both Siegfried's Lunge and perfect timing mechanic, which means he'll be dealing maximum damage most of the time, and players won't have to worry about pacing his attack inputs.
4 Rackam
Red-Hot Ranged DPS
- Role: DPS
- Element: Fire
Once players reach the endgame, they'll want to maximize their DPS uptime as much as possible in order to clear quests quickly. Rackam will help with this by constantly raining down ranged attacks, especially once he has all the best sigils equipped. He doesn't need to get into slapping distance to deal damage, and he can keep piling those numbers up even if his target is performing deadly close-ranged moves.
Thankfully, the AI is fairly decent when it comes to taking advantage of Rackam's ranged attacks. He'll rarely be seen getting hit, but when he does, the rest of the party will be able to keep him alive. As long as everyone else focuses on doing their job, Rackam will help take even the biggest bosses down in no time.
3 Eugen
Backline Sniper
- Role: DPS
- Element: Earth
Similar to Rackam, Eugen excels at dealing damage from long range. His playstyle isn't as active or frantic as some other damage dealers, making him the perfect character for the AI to control. Players can expect to see Eugen sitting in the back, peppering targets with his powerful ranged shots and grenades while trying to avoid close combat as much as possible.
8 Beginner Mistakes To Avoid When Playing Granblue Fantasy: Relink
New players to Granblue Fantasy: Relink can start their playthrough on the right track by avoiding the following mistakes.
If players do choose to bring Eugen into the fray, it's best to also bring someone who can take the pressure off of him. Apart from Vane, Narmaya is a great choice for players who want to play as a DPS with the ability to draw enemy aggro. As long as Eugen can keep shooting uninterrupted, he'll bring the party closer to victory with every shot he takes.
2 Captain
Support Unit With Good Buff Variety
- Role: Support/Sub-DPS
- Element: Wind
Gran/Djeeta has a number of viable build paths, but if players want someone who can bring a variety of different buffs to the field, they should bring the Captain along for the ride. The Captain has a support spell for almost every situation, from buffing ATK to granting Damage Cut, dispelling buffs, applying Regeneration, and charging the entire team's SBA gauge, letting everyone use their strongest attacks more frequently.
One thing to note about the Captain is that the AI may not always take full advantage of the character's Arts mechanic. This isn't that big of a deal in practice, but some players might be bothered by how the Captain bot is seemingly spamming their abilities off-cooldown.
1 Cagliostro
Premium Support with High Burst Damage
- Role: Support/Sub-DPS
- Element: Earth
Cagliostro is an amazing support character at all stages of the game, especially for a team that's looking for someone who can buff their total damage output. Her Phantasmagoria skill boosts the party's ATK, DEF, and Critical Hit Rate, giving damage dealers the opportunity to deal more damage than usual.
On top of being a good buffer, Cagliostro can also heal allies, shred enemy DEF, and deal excellent burst damage. She's a high-value character that everyone should unlock once they feel the need to optimize their party for damage, and the AI can handle all of her roles relatively well, too. The AI won't be able to match an actual Cagliostro player who knows how to do all her combos perfectly, but the bot is good enough to have a noticeable impact on the average gameplay experience.
